"Hahaha, little Shuiruo, I've come for you!"

There was the sound of a door being destroyed and a man shouting, alerting Ling Tian and taking him out of his thoughts.

Quickly, he released his spiritual sense and found those guys from before who had been beaten by Mu Shen.

The guy in the middle, who seemed to be the strongest in the Fourth Stage of Chi Gathering, and the other two who were both in the Third Stage of Chi Gathering.

"What was that guy's name? Ming San, Fan, Den, something like that?" Ling Tian muttered trying to remember that guy's name.

Then he watched as Ming Fen triumphantly entered the house and found Mu Shuiruo in the kitchen.

The house wasn't very big, so the spaces were a bit cramped. Therefore, the space where one enters through the door, you can see the kitchen space and a bedroom door.

Ling Tian looked at his eyes full of lust and a burning gaze. He knew that Ming Fen had come here for Mu Shuiruo. Obviously, he took advantage of the fact that Mu Shen had gone out and thought that Mu Shuiruo was alone in the house, therefore he came at once.

Mu Shuiruo was frightened, seeing how Ming Fen looked at her fiercely. Though she was brave, she was still a woman and moreover, she knew the difference in power between him and herself, so fear covered her entire body. Her older brother was not at home, making her feel insecure.

Every time Mu Shen went out to look for medicinal plants for her, she went to a friend's house so that she would not be left alone, as Ming Fen had gone to look for her a few times when she was alone the first few times. By some chance, she got out of those situations and then thought it would be better if she stayed at her friend's house while waiting for Mu Shen to return.

Now that Mu Shen had gone out to get some medicinal plants to make a medicinal soup, she stayed home to care for Ling Tian. She knew that he was very weak and hurt, so she had no choice but to stay. However, she never thought that Ming Fen would take this opportunity to come.Mu Shuiruo had started to train some martial arts in order to become strong, so she would be strong enough to defend herself in case her brother was not present. She tried to position herself to fight. She would not let a bastard like Ming Fen sully her. She would fight, hoping that a miracle would happen and nothing would happen to her.

Ming Fen approached slowly, showing eyes full of malice and desire, while slowly watching Mu Shuiruo's body and imagining the things he would be doing to her once she was in his hands.

Ming Fen saw Mu Shuiruo's fighting stance and only laughed. He did not care that Mu Shuiruo defended himself, since she was only a Silver rank and he was a Heaven rank. The difference in power was great. In fact, that made it interesting for him.

"Shit! I don't have enough energy to fight, or even to move properly!" Ling Tian tried to stand up, but he was very weak, could barely stand, so he needed to hold on to something.

Ling Tian watched as Ming Fen slowly approached Mu Shuiruo, so he tried to hurry to the door and leave the room. Taking some unsteady steps, he almost fell several times when he wanted to take a step.

The door opened and Ming Fen got a little scared. He changed his gaze to the door that had just opened.

When he saw Ling Tian, he frowned, but quickly calmed down. He had thought it was Mu Shen, because who else would be in their house? Besides, Mu Shen was stronger than he was, so it was only natural that he would be afraid of him.

Ling Tian was thinking of using the Internal Energy Technique, which could increase his strength for a while. This technique was known in the immortal world.

But such an amazing technique also had its risks and limitations.

Any person, even an ordinary mortal with no basis in cultivation, could use this technique, which would improve his power, increasing it dramatically, reaching the Peak Stage of Chi Gathering. But it was at the cost of consuming a small part of his vital energy and internal body strength, and he could only use it for less than 5 minutes.

It was almost 100% certain that this would end up destroying his meridians and he would not be able to cultivate again. His meridians were not completely healed as only a little over 60% had been repaired, he knew that, he was in a horrible situation.

But letting that bastard intimidate Mu Shuiruo? Of course not.

"Hey, get out of here before Mu Shen returns, there's still time. If not, you'll regret it." Ling Tian said coldly, while watching Ming Fen with an icy face.

Ling Tian was trying to make Ming Fen leave, so he wouldn't have to use the technique and put himself at risk.

Seeing that Ling Tian was ordering him to leave, Ming Fen got a little upset, but he didn't listen to him. Especially, seeing Ling Tian's body full of bandages and with some visible wounds on his face, he assumed that he was hurt and weak, therefore it did not take much importance.

The two servants who were shortly behind Ming Fen laughed at Ling Tian's "warning". They saw that Ling Tian was in very bad shape. Wanting to play the hero? Hahaha.

Mu Shuiruo was surprised to see Ling Tian, though one could tell that, with much effort, he could barely stand. Wanting to help Ling Tian, she was interrupted by Ming Fen.

"You fucking bitch! Why are you looking at him? What's your relationship with him?!" Ming Fen roared with hatred at Mu Shuiruo's worried look at Ling Tian. He thought Mu Shuiruo had something to do with Ling Tian, so he could not help but raise his hand and slap her.

Just when Ming Fen wanted to hit Mu Shuiruo, Ling Tian instantly appeared in front of him, protecting Mu Shuiruo from the blow.

Ling Tian was angry to see that Ming Feng tried to boldly slap Mu Shuiruo. He no longer cared that his meridians were destroyed, so he launched the Internal Energy Technique and threw himself at Ming Fen.

He would not let that bastard intimidate Mu Shuiruo. She had been caring for him, therefore she was his benefactor. He owes his life to both Mu Shuiruo and Mu Shen. He knew that if he were left alone on those plains and there was no one to help him, any demon beast could kill him. If it were not for them, he would be completely dead right now. He would always try to return the favor when the other person was in trouble.

He would do all he could to protect Mu Shuiruo, even if it cost him his life to completely destroy his own meridians and truly become a cripple and die on this unknown lower plane.

Ling Tian managed to increase his power all at once, managing to reach the Third Stage of Chi Gathering. Although the Third and Fourth Stages of Chi Gathering were a big difference, Ling Tian was enough. His immense experience in the Dao Martial, was not something that a simple young man in his early twenties could face.

Ling Tian embraced Mu Shuiruo with his left arm, moving her from her place instantly and dodging the blow.

He quickly sent a free hand strike into Ming Fen's face, causing him to take several steps backwards and fall to the ground.

Ming Fen's two servants saw this and rushed to Ling Tian.

Ling Tian reacted quickly, gently pushing Mu Shuiruo aside and facing the two guys.

He dodged the blow coming from the right and with his arms he grabbed the leg easily which arched like a kick from the other side.

Ling Tian kicked fiercely at the guy who had thrown the punch, leaving him with a severe pain in his abdomen and making him retreat a few meters back, while the guy who grabbed his leg was thrown strongly out, destroying a piece of furniture in his way and finally going out the window.

Ming Fen was surprised, but he stood up again and went straight to Ling Tian throwing his right fist.

Ling Tian was furious with this guy.

So he didn't care and caught the blow that was coming to him with his hand, opening the wounds he had in it, and immediately he kicked hard into Ming Fen's chest, sending him flying almost out of the house through the door.

"What's going on?! Sister! Are you all right?!"

Mu Shen arrived at the scene and was able to see how Ming Fen was sent flying by Ling Tian while he was standing in front of his sister, as if he was protecting her like an impenetrable wall, while the blood flooded his body due to the fact that his wounds had opened up and he spat a puff of blood to finally fall to the ground unconsciously.
