Alchemy With Mu Shuiruo

Ling Tian walked around the centre of the star city several times. He even sold a low-grade spiritual weapon and made a lot of money from it.

"It seems that low-grade spiritual weapons can be sold very well in this place"

Ling Tian smiled as he calculated the profits from selling spiritual weapons that are useless to him. He had gotten a little rich by selling some of his low-grade weapons.

Ling Tian nodded at his response and only watched him for a while before shifting his focus to where Mu Shuiruo was.

The sweet medicinal smell could be smelled in the air.

Mu Shuiruo stood in front of a cauldron, focused on making what appeared to be medicinal soup or something called elixir on this lower continent.

Ling Tian had understood several things, the so-called elixir being one of them.

If the cultivators use spiritual or immortal pills, the martial artists of this place use the elixirs to recover energy, heal the wounds of their body or advance in the ranks of power.

Ling Tian approached Mu Shuiruo silently, to avoid making any noise that might distract her.

Her seriousness, along with that sacred beauty, truly made her seem like an angel who did not belong in the mortal world.

Ling Tian smiled warmly at what she was doing. He knew from Mu Shen that their grandmother was an alchemist, so Mu Shuiruo had been interested in medicinal plants since she was a child, therefore she learned about all plants from her grandmother. Although she was still too young to prepare the elixirs, she learned the basics.

Ha!

Mu Shuiruo cried out in disappointment when she saw that the medicinal plant in her cauldron began to smell of burning and then burned along with the other refined liquids. Those medicinal plants had been wasted.

Mu Shuiruo's delicate lips twisted slowly downward as a look of frustration appeared on her beautiful face.

"You increased the power of the flame a little more, so the medicinal plant burned quickly." Ling Tian spoke softly as he looked at the cauldron and all the artifacts that allowed the blessed "Elixirs" to be made.

"Ah!" Mu Shuiruo was frightened when Ling Tian's voice sounded behind her, so she could not help but turn around and show a blush when she realized it was him.

Ling Tian showed her a smile and said, "Little Shuiruo, what do you want to do with all these medicinal plants?" He observed that, on the table next to her, there was a lot of medicinal herbs.

Mu Shuiruo answered when she looked at all those medicinal plants and took them one by one: "It's an elixir of strength that would allow my elder brother to increase the power in his martial arts... B-big brother... if... if you want... I can make an elixir for you too..."

Ling Tian watched Mu Shuiruo's face turn completely red and show a natural shyness of a child.

He nodded with a smile as he replied: "I'd be delighted if you could make me an elixir too. Why don't you let me watch you make the elixirs, maybe I can help you a little?"

"En!"

Mu Shuiruo was nervous when she said the latter, but then a beautiful smile blossomed when she heard Ling Tian's response.

Help her?

Recalling the last thing Ling Tian said, she asked: "Big brother, do you know about alchemy?"

Ling Tian nodded with a soft smile: "Mmm I could say I know a little, so I want to see how you make elixirs."

Mu Shuiruo nodded with a broad smile as she took the medicinal plants in her hands and arranged them, explaining to Ling Tian the name and physical properties of each.

Ling Tian did not interrupt her. He let her unwind and overcome her shyness a little when the two of them spoke.

Although he knew all the effects of all the medicinal herbs, he did not know the names by which they were known in this place.

Mu Shuiruo began heating each medicinal plant one by one in the cauldron in front of them. Ling Tian noticed that, one tube was connected to one side, which was where the fire came from.

The cultivators had their own cauldrons and with their own fire spells or a spiritual fire in their body, they could easily make the pills. The cultivators could control the flames and fire at their own will, so they could do many things and more.

Ling Tian observed that, the process for manufacturing was almost the same for making pills. It seemed to be, because she had to concentrate on one plant, so having the mind divided into two by having two herbs inside, would increase the risk of wasting and burning both herbs.

The plants that she finished, she left them aside from the cauldron where it seemed that the place was warm, it seemed that it was to keep them a little warm and to avoid that they get cold, so that they do not get wasted before mixing everything.

Each time she finished with a herb, Mu Shuiruo would slightly increase the temperature inside the pot and place another herb inside. She would then follow the same process of controlling the fire from outside and preventing the herbs from burning.

"I guess, of all the plants, that's the one that always burns you, right? And that's why all the other liquids are burning too" Ling Tian asked when he observed Mu Shuiruo's process.

Mu Shuiruo was a little surprised when she heard what Ling Tian said. How did he know that, that medicinal plant always burns and she could not complete the elixir as everything burned in the end?

Ling Tian smiled weakly when he stood in front of the cauldron, next to Mu Shuiruo: "The plant in your hands has to be cooked slowly at a low fire, because its properties are something special."

Ling Tian started the process again easily, while in each round he placed two herbs instead of one. He did not want to scare them by putting all the herbs inside and easily forming the so-called elixir in a short time, so he went slowly. He didn't even use his fire spells, he did everything by hand.

Mu Shuiruo is dazed to see Ling Tian easily purify the medicinal plants, even two at the same time!

Mu Shen had come to watch as well. He was curious about what Ling Tian was talking to his younger sister, so he could not help but approach them. But he was surprised when he saw him talking with Mu Shuiruo about medicinal plants and now easily work out alchemy.

Ling Tian ended up in less than half the time that Mu Shuiruo required to get to the round where her plants were always burned.

Ling Tian put all the plants that had become liquid aside, while letting Mu Shuiruo observe.

The impurities of the medicinal plant were completely refined while, a sweet smell could be smelled when the liquid was formed inside the cauldron without anything burning.
