Where To Begin

It had been a week since I moved, it wasn't hard for me to adjust but my mind still often thought of my old home but this is my new one and I have to learn to love it.

After a shower and picking a simple outfit consisting of loose jeans and a blue sweater

, I went downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning Aure, today's breakfast is just pancakes and some juice but I made sure you got the chocolate ones" she smiled at me

I look to see my Luke had already started eating without my parents like every other day.

"Good morning Aure"

"Good morning Luke," I said as sat down to eat

Breakfast was as normal just him talking about his life and San Francisco, although a new topic occurred to our chit chat.

"So what school are you picking?"

"Not quite sure yet, Dad keeps recommending me Avert but I'm not really into private schools."

"Then you better pick school starts in three weeks you know."

"Yah I'm probably gonna check some out today if dad even lets me."

He chuckles at the little joke and gets up.

"I'm gonna head out now even though it's summer I'm still needed at my university."

"Ok have fun with that," I said as he exits the house.

And with that, the house was quiet so I took out my phone, I scrolled to my noted remembering that my mom used to teach at an old public school, after about a minute of scrolling through my notes

Mom I looked at the title, I sighed as I opened the note, although my phone is new I couldn't help but also transfer my notes since it's my diary, I scrolled again until the words

School popped up.

"Ah-ha" I squealed

East National High, Weird name but the school looked nice, my mom had some photos of it I saved, there were three buildings, one was the main school, it was the tallest had lots of windows and was a beige color, the other building was smaller, I didn't know what it was for but it was colored beige as well, and then the other building it was a greenhouse, had lots of plants (like what you would expect) and the front of the school was covered in trees and bushes, clearly the people in my town loves plants.

I was drawn to the charm of the school, it was simple and had lots of plants. So I tested my dad.

Good morning Dad I'm going to check some schools today you aren't probably gonna see this but just wanted you to know.

I sent the text knowing I'm probably not gonna get a reply, my dad ran a company so I'm not expecting a reply from a businessman.

But to my surprise, I got a reply from his Secretary So-Young.

Goodmorning Kyle, your father is in a meeting right now, if you are going out you should talk to Aran to drive you, I will tell your father this so please be safe, I hope you find a good school.

-So-Young

I smiled at the text, So-Young was a kind Korean woman my stepmom meet at a university, so with her connection, she became my dad's secretary.

As soon as I finish reading the text another came in, it was Aran, he texted that he would be there in ten minutes. I waited at my seat scrolling through my phone until I hear a honk outside. I strode my way outside.

"Good morning Kyle," Said Aran with a smile

"Good morning to Aran" I replied getting in the car

"So we're going to ENH, right?" He questioned as to the car turned

"Yeah I'm still picking schools"

"Didn't your Dad suggest one?"

"Yah he suggested Avert but I don't want to go to a preppy Catholic school," I said and it was true Avert was a strict Catholic school know for the evilest children to walk the face of the earth.

After that silence came in, I placed my face on the window admiring the view, we passed many houses like mines and people walking their dogs, their children, their significant others, and ones alone.

Alone, something people found horrible, but some found it comforting just having themselves to hold without the worry of someone else to please.

"You can play some music you know" Aran broke my thoughts

"No, I don't really want to" One thing I fear most is people listening to music I like, I don't really know why but it's a fear I've had since I discovered I can make my playlist and listen to music I want to listen to.

"If you say so"

And with that, we were at the school, with Tall black gates and just like in the pictures three buildings were stood inside the gates.

"Are you okay on your own?" Aran asked, my dad, had established that I didn't do well with crowds or new people in general.

"I think I'm gonna be okay Aran, it's not crowded and I'm dressed appropriately" another thing about me is I'm scared of standing out (I mean I like attention but not unwanted attention), especially about my clothes that why I dress so basic.

"Well I'm just gonna park there okay" he pointed at the school parking lot "Call if you need me"

I jumped out of the car and strode to the gate, surprisingly there wasn't a guard, so I walked in. Admiring the beautiful flowers bushes and trees along the road that leads to the front food of the school.

I entered the main building, there weren't many people inside, some were on the floor talking with their companions and some were walking around. I turned to the left it had a map of the school and where the principal's office was.

"Second floor, third door to the right next to the library two," I said quietly to remember.

I strolled to the stairs, it was another corridor, lined with lockers, the one at the end had stairs and lead to more rooms.

I walked to the corridor leading to the stairs since I was on the left I have to walk back to the right.

"Right," I said to myself

I walked up to the second to last door of the corridor.

Class A34

"What!" I said in my head

And suddenly the door swings open and hits my head.

"AH!" I yelled

"I good I'm sorry" A voice squeaked, A hand touched my shoulders and many apologies came with it. My head was bowed down so I could see who it was, I looked up. A boy, wearing jeans and a t-shirt that said Swag, had black hair, blue eyes with a hint of green.

"I'm so sorry man," he said again

"Oh it's okay"

He looked at me

"Wait have I seen you before?"
