Chapter 121 Enemies

The conversation between them went smoothly as Shisui briefly told them about his thoughts and beliefs. He even pointed out his desire to help his clan but they went too far in the end, so he had no choice here.

This made Arthur realize that he had to do something about this radical faction nonsense before taking them under his wing. He knew Uchiha was already an outcast of the village, thus he decided to let them live in his world.

" You are a good kid, Shisui. You aren't blind to loyalty and you aren't muscle-headed."

Arthur praised Shisui for his cleverness. He was extremely satisfied with Shisui who could see the problems from a third person perspective. Although there were a few problems in his logic, Shisui was an extremely talented individual to be here under these old bones.

" I thank you for your hospitality, lord Arthur. Honestly, I was worried about your intentions but after talking with you, I understand you are a kind person who truly wants to help us."

Shisui bowed his head with a polite tone, thanking Arthur who gave him a chance to explain his dilemma. He could tell this man was able to understand his feelings and his concerns, unlike the clan elders who blindly pursued power.

" No worries, boy. I will give you a hand to clean things up but you know it is impossible for Uchiha and Konoha to coexist at this point."

The cold words of Arthur splattered harsh truth all over his face but he didn't dare to deny his words, knowing it was the truth. It was either Uchiha or Konoha at this stage because of their hatred toward each other.

" Before that. We have some uninvited guests."

Arthur narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at the woods with a cold expression. When he finished his words, Ian who was sitting next to him immediately got up from his seat as he took out his sword.

" Hmm, I hope they won't die from my slash."

With a single slash of his sword, the trees within 30 meters were cut down into two as shadows appeared before them.

It was root ninjas who were stalking Shisui to take his eyes while waiting for Danzo.

" I was getting bored. Flash!"

Pheonix threw a flame ball from his palm, dating the ninjas with a bright light that almost blinded them.

" Sigh, warn before flashing."

Simon grumbled with dissatisfaction, pulling out his pistol to shoot them down. Their smooth tactical movements were even superior to ninjas who worked together all the time.

This was all thanks to Arthur who was training them in the city prior to the travel. Each member of the team went through vigorous training, including team fight scenarios when they would face opponents with superior numbers.

Of course, the ninjas didn't sit idly as most of them dodged their attacks but some low-level figures were shot in the end. The bullets pierced through their legs and they immediately fell in pain.

" They are from Root."

Shisui was able to collect his thoughts in front of the danger while taking out his weapons. Before he could move Arthur signaled him to calm down because he got this covered.

The superior ninjutsu wasn't enough to dent the armors of Eden which were crafted from various technologies. Also, each of them was equipped with powerful weapons as well as combat techniques for their taste, so even Chunin and Special Jonin wouldn't be able to hurt them unless they used a special type of technique.

However, that was impossible in front of Arthur who could see their moves. If they used such techniques, Arthur would instantly recognize it and counter it in some ways since he lived here for many years.

" Danzo, I know you have arrived here. Stop being a rat and come out."

Arthur spoke calmly albeit the situation before him. He didn't take things seriously even when he was weakened because he believed Danzo was a weakling. He was neither strong nor intelligent to defeat them and he was nowhere near to minds of some figures that Arthur had faced.

" You are still the same as well, Arthur. You were arrogant and nosy during the war and yet the years didn't change that."

Danzo came out from the woods with a cold face.
