Chapter 29 Digging a Moat

Ashina -

What triggered me was my question of why had our witch back at my mountain home not trained me? It may have been because we were hiding from all wolves, and we wanted everyone to think we had died in the war, as magic leaves a trail. We could not take the chance of being discovered because Malcolm would make sure he would kill us if we were discovered. It is certain that he would be terrified if he knew I was alive because he would fear me creating a rebellion and taking back my parents' Kingdom if he knew I was still alive.

In the end, I realized I was thinking about everything except finding my center. I took a deep breath for the hundredth time of the day. As I sorted the dirt in my fingers again, clearing my mind, tuning my hearing into the small pebbles of dirt falling from between my fingers towards the ground, I felt the aura of the dirt slipping from my fingers as it fell towards the ground. Every piece of dirt has its own unique aura.

With my mind touching the aura of the tiniest pieces of dirt, I start digging a small trench around me with my mind, lifting each bit of dirt into larger piles in a circle around me as I lift them up. Upon reaching the point where I was able to close the dirt circle, I knew that I should feel the aura of water as well. When I searched for water in my mind, I found drops of liquid. I prayed and asked for its aura to come to me and fill my moat. It seemed to want to do my bidding, and it filled my little moat when I called for it. The water filled my little moat right away as soon as I asked for it. I opened my eyes, surprised to see that my little moat was full of minimal amounts of water, but I was proud of myself for constructing it.

My eyes widened and I turned around to see Margaret if she was nearby. As she walked from the bleachers, I guess she had been watching me for quite some time. She kept a straight face as she walked over, but after she saw my moat, I felt so very proud. As her face grimaced, my heart sank, and I felt like I had failed, but I felt like I had succeeded.

This is when Margaret uses magic to destroy my little moat. With a straight face she comments coldly, "my five-year-old nephew without magic skills could create that. Try again and impress me this time!"

I had worked so hard to create that moat, my anger rose once again like this morning, and I am trying to keep it in. My wolf Kiera came to the surface, "Let me shred this woman to pieces for disrespecting us!"

Stood up and if I could have made fire I would have, however I was going to give her, her impressive moat. I turned in circles thinking of a circular grave, and once that was accomplished, I called for massive amounts of water. All while my eyes were closed, I didn't know where the water was coming from, nor did I care.

Water bottles broke open, water fountains broke apart, people around me were keeling over as the water tried to leave their bodies.

Margaret looked around in horror, and froze everything, then she stopped me magically. I was angry she didn't let me finish and I whipped around, but stopped and seen everything and everyone frozen, broken or in pain.

I was killing everyone, but how?

Angrily Margaret responds to the questions on my face, "You wanted massive amounts of water and didn't care where it was coming from. You literally were taking everyone's water out of their bodies. You were killing everyone. You must NEVER perform magic in anger, or this is what will happen. They will all be fine; however, I will have to send them to the pack doctor for a checkup to make certain. Won't the pack doctor and these warriors love you." I hear Margaret growl and let everyone free from her magic, ordering them all to go to the pack doctor.

Margaret turns to me once again with a stone-cold face, "TRY AGAIN!"

The closer I get to my birthday, the easier to anger I become. What is wrong with me?

Margaret walks off, I am sure to a hiding place to watch me. I also notice my two-suitors that I am trying to ignore glaring at each other. I think don't they have kingdoms to run?

Shaking my head, I try to get them both out of my mind and concentrate on my center.

This time I felt the flow of dirt pleasing me by opening up around me as I asked it to create a moat visualizing what I want the dirt to create. The dirt again was happy to complete the task I asked of it. I could feel the dirt's happiness and its excitement for me to see the dirt's accomplishments.

Upon opening my eyes, I was filled with happiness, euphoria, and sent out to the dirt via my aura my pride at what the dirt had done for me. I felt so loved by the dirt and happy deep on the inside of my being. After I had built the trench around me, I contemplated where I would like the water for my trench to come from.

As I looked around, I thought there must be a lake nearby, but that is too far away, so I thought it would be amusing to take the hot water off the men's showers. Feeling the aura of the water from the showers, I asked if it could fill my trench? It too was eager to perform my command.

In the air, it is easy to follow the water flowing in a stream towards the moat, while people follow closely behind it as it flies toward the moat. In my eyes, I saw that the water loved to fill in my moat. When I opened my eyes, I saw that I had built a moat that was larger than the one I had created previously. In fact, it was not just a doll-sized moat, but rather a moat that horses were able to drink from.

From the showers, I heard cussing and screaming, I giggled to myself.

Again, Margaret came to see my moat and I could see just a tinge of a smile. It was quick but I saw her smile. I grinned in pride knowing she liked my moat.

I asked her as a reward if I could mess with Cadma and Andor magically.

She just shrugs her shoulders and states be back in an hour for training.

I laughed, I guess she meant yes I could mess with those turds.
