CHAPTER 50

Clinton and Vivian had breakfast with everyone and acted as if nothing happened between them both, but everyone already knew what had happened the night before.

Clinton called everyone to his courtroom for a special occasion, he had planned to officially announce Vivian as his queen.

The whole of the royal family was assembled in the courtroom as they all watched the coronation in delight and Vivian's grandma wasn't excluded. This time she wasn't present as just a guest but as the royal godmother.

Vivian knelt with her head down as the crystal-embedded crown was placed on her head, the room filled with a loud but elegant clap.

The room became empty after the shortly-timed coronation ceremony.

Bryanna and Cordelia left for Heidinburg shortly after the ceremony.

IRIS'S POV

The castle became boring after they both left and I had nothing to do now that Vivian is the new queen she had no time to chat and I was so lonely "I soliloquized".

I lay on my bed glancing through the old memories when I remembered the spring waterfall, Lexar and I found months ago.

The thought of it made me feel like visiting it again.

I went straight to Sabastian, Clinton's royal messenger to inform him of my trip.

I got dressed into a tailcoat jacket with hoofed boots and rode off with Ivy.

I got to the spring very late in the afternoon.

I got down to feed some grass to Ivy and my surprise I heard a very known and familiar voice walk in as I took a walk down the spring waterfall.

So, you still remembered this place "Lexar said slowly walking in my direction".

What are you doing here "I asked ignoring his question".

The same thing you are doing here, enjoying the view "He replied".

That is an odd coincidence "I said with my eyes rolled".

S.... so were you just passing by or did you come here initially "I asked nervously breaking the silence".

The castle was getting boring and I just felt like viewing the outdoors, so I came here "He responded".

So what justice did you make on Lexar and where is he now?

Lexar had a reason for killing father and I don't think he did it fully to protect me "Lexar replied".

We both sat by the spring with both of our feet in it and I remained fascinated as he narrated how, King Noan chased away Calix's first ever love and poisoned him to hate his brother.

I knew king Noan was so brutal to do a lot of things but not to the extent of chasing away his son's love just because she was a Maid and was viewed as a peasant. "I thought as he continued".

So how did he find out "I said Curios to hear more".

During the war preparation, a woman with a little girl came to the Bulgarian castle and asked to meet him, when she was finally given the chance to meet him she explained everything that happened to her and his child.

The news made Calix so mad that he changed the whole plot of the story, but long story short the woman and his daughter had now moved in with us "He concluded".

So how do you go about the throne, is it in your hands or you've handed it to him "I asked in curiosity".

We haven't thought of it yet but we are now in good ties and no matter what happens, having the crown was the least of what bothered me.

The conversation went on and felt great that I forgot why I was so mad at him earlier on.

It was already sunset and riding back to Philadelphia so late wouldn't be safe so why don't you just spend the night here in Bulgaria, since this is within its borders "Lexar said with a concerning look".

I was so relaxed to disagree so I just went with him to the Bulgarian castle.

Getting down from my horse, a stable man took Ivy to the royal stables while Lexar and I both walked in.

I was escorted to my previous room and settled in for a while before sending a letter to Philadelphia that I was now in Bulgaria castle.

I was called out for dinner by one of the castle maids and was helped to get ready.

I walked into the dining area and reached for a sit when suddenly I noticed the presence of an old but familiar face.
