CHAPTER 36

Lexar woke up to the gaze of Iris as she was deeply exhausted. He couldn't help but smile at his gaze, on the other hand, he also felt guilty as he questioned if what had happened was against Iris's will or not.

He lay next to her as he gazed upon her beauty, his eyes examined her body as she looked so cute and snuggled in the sheets.

He tucks a few strands of her hair behind her ear, before leaving the room quietly to avoid waking her up.

Iris woke up immediately after sunrise in full shock, as she finds herself on the bed with only her undergarment and night dress. Suddenly Alice her temporarily private maid walked in from the bathroom and said "good morning princess, you are finally awake, I just finished preparing your bath and am sure you need it urgently after all you've been through last night", she said with a coy smile.

Seeing Alice's smile, Iris asked what happened last night as she was offered a bathrobe, I don't know for sure princess but all I know was that prince Lexar spent the night in your room last night. Iris stood in disbelief as Alice spoke, she never meant for sure as she was intoxicated from the liquor.

Iris went to the bath in total silence as she still tried to regain her memories of last night, the more convincing it sounds the more disturbing it was, she couldn't help but frown at her assumption which possibly could have been the reality.

Iris got out of the bath looking gorgeous as always, the maid also couldn't help but envy and admire her beauty, Alice wondered how she had such glowy smooth skin despite being a warrior, she was brave and had all qualities she never had. Iris took more steps forward to reach the vanity where she sat as Alice helped her dry her hair and also styled it.

Alice, where do you think Lexar is now, his royal majesty would be in his dorms right now I am not mistaken, princess.

She slid into a nice purple dress and she went out the halls to have breakfast, she boiled in range as she couldn't believe Lexar took advantage of her being drunk. She didn't plan to speak with him and was ready to leave for Philadelphia.

Iris walked into the dining room quietly, instantly her eyes met Lexar's but she tried to hide her anger as much as possible, Lexar stood up from his sit in an attempt to open up the chair for her, and she reluctantly rolled her eyes and had her sit.

The whole dining room was in silence as they had their meal without any discussion or body language, iris stood after her meal about to leave when Lexar caught a grip of her hand. She turned back with a burning gaze.

LEXAR'S POV

Iris listen to me, why have you been acting like this all morning, or is it "he paused a little, then dismissed the guards". Or is it about what happened last night, I am so…..., Iris cut him off as she blurted "enough Lexar, I have heard enough. goodbye Lexar".

Iris sprinted out of the room, she got out of the castle and whistled to call unto her horse Ivy and she rode off.

Lexar was frozen on point in disappointment. he went to his study to avoid intimidation from his thoughts.
