Xane And Xiander Meet The Boys

Suddenly Xane sees a group of men coming their way on horses. So Xane says “Xiander, they are coming for us. We can’t go back until we know everything about Vonruil.”

“Xane, count me in on that.” Xiander says “You do know after Vonruil, I’m the elder one among us. (Xane nods) Now do as I say, run and go straight to Vonruil’s place. I’ll follow you.”

Xane understood what Xiander meant. He’s going to stall them so Xane can escape. But being the younger one, he cannot betray the orders, and Xane is not much of a fighter either. So, Xane runs off into the woods and finally reaches Vonruil’s place.

As the horsemen come and see Xiander, they stop. One of them asks “Where’s Xane, we are here to take you both.”

Smiling, wickedly Xiander says “I ain’t telling you where Xane is and as for taking me back, beat me and I’ll go.”

One of the men says “The king has allowed us to use force on you both.”

Smiling wickedly Xiander says “Oh yeah? Well then bring it on.”

The horsemen fly off the horses one by one and make a star formation.

The leader says “Boys, the lightning abyss, NOW!”

The lightning abyss is a formation that captures its prey and the leader of the formation can manipulate the mind of the prey and make it do anything.

“Like for real?” Xiander says laughing “You really think tricks like this abyss can capture me. Do you know the king calls me mad. (Making a serious face) That’s not a joke. I really am mad if things don’t go my way. Now, since I don’t have any grudge against any of you, why don’t you leave, cause once I do, I never forget the faces of the one I hold a grudge against. I will hunt you down.”

Another horseman says “Xiander, we are here by the orders of the king. Are you going to betray the king's orders?”

“You don’t have to worry about that?” Xiander says in a stern tone “When we go back home, we’ll tell the king ourselves, and trust me, he’ll listen to us and not you.”

The first horseman says “Then so be it. Men get him!”

Just then Xiander removes his sword and summons his power stone. As the stone emerges from his hand, Xiander takes the stone in his fist and as the stone disappears into his fist, he starts to glow and then he says “I’m giving you one last chance. The ones who stay back, I am not responsible for what happens.”

As the horsemen charge towards Xiander, he raises his sword and strikes it on the floor. Fire rises in front of Xiander.

Striking the sword on the floor Xiander says “Dare to come through?”

One horseman gets off and goes running towards the fire. As soon as the horseman comes near the fire, Xiander strikes his sword on the ground and a flame from the fire engulfs the man.

As he disappears Xiander says “Who’s next?”

Another horseman says “Where’s my man?”

Smiling Xiander says “Well, sorry but I only know how to send them there, I don’t know if there is a way to come back. But like I said, don’t blame me.”

Just then a man from the group says “Hey, that guy has two brothers to look after. If he doesn’t come back, then who will…”

Hearing this Xiander summons the stone to come out.

Seeing Xiander is summoning the stone out, he knew at this time Xiander won’t be able to strike so it’s the best time to capture him.

But as the man runs forward to charge, another man stops him saying “No, Xiander is summoning the stone out, he’s reversing his summon. Reversing a summon is equal to killing yourself. If the reverse isn’t stopped in time, he can die.”

“Then why is he…”

Just then the horseman who has disappeared appears in front of them. As soon as he appears, Xiander spits out blood and falls onto the ground.

Seeing this the first horseman says “You risked your life to save my man. I know you, Xane and Vonruil are not betrayers, but the way Vonruil has betrayed the king, being his brothers, you have to take the blow.”

“Then you must know about Vonruil. Do you think he can betray? Please give us a chance to prove.” Xiander says panting in pain “And, I have a clue he did not betray, please…”

“Go, Xiander.” The first horseman says “Go, and bring our duke back.”

As the horsemen leave, Xiander gets up and holds his chest and says “I need to find Xane soon. I hope he found Vonruil’s home and another batch hasn’t gone behind him. I need to get to him quickly.”

Without wasting any more time Xiander quickly transports himself to the point he can sense Xane. As soon as he reaches the palace he sees he’s in front of a house Vonruil’s house and Xane has arrived as well.

Getting up Xiander looks around and says “Damn, it’s the human area, what’s Xane doing? He didn’t change his eyes. I hope no one has seen him.”

Just then Xiander feels a warm hand on his shoulder and a voice asks “Why did you reverse your stone? You know it’s dangerous for us? It can kill us.” On hearing the voice Xiander turns back and sees it’s Vonruil. Seeing Vonruil, Xiander hugs him but as Vonruil hugs him back Xiander flinches.

Tapping Xiander on his forehead, (Xiander flinches on being hit) Vonruil says “You really don’t learn.”

“I didn’t have intentions on doing so, but when the horseman leader said he has two brothers to take care of, I couldn’t let go so I reversed the stone…” Intervening, Vonruil says “Let’s go in first. Sam will take care of you. Xane is already inside.”

As they enter Xiander sees Xane is eating spoonfuls. Seeing him eating, Xiander says “What’s with you? Where are your manners?”

Seeing Xiander has come, Xane says “Vonruil said he’s gonna go get you and they told this is your home, feel at ease, so I am. And, damn Peter’s cooking is so good. (Peter smiles as Xane says his cooking is good).”

Vonruil pulls a chair and says “Sam, can you help Xiander?”

Confused Sam says “Help as in, what’s the problem? Is he not feeling well or has he been hurt?”

Vonruil says “Well the injury is supposed to be internal but he should feel pain here. (Vonruil slightly taps on Xiander’s left side of the chest and he flinches) See, I told you he’s hurt. (Then Vonruil explains to Sam) You see we have stones that we can summon for our powers. On summoning a stone we absorb it into our system, or our heart. The stone remains absorbed till the mission is over. I know you’ll ask how, as I said, it's absorbed by the heart so the body acts as a signal for that. When the mission is over, the stone comes out itself. But if we try to reverse the summon, obviously it’s part of our heart so making it come out is like removing our heart out, so ....”

Cutting Vonruil’s sentence midway Sam says “Is that what he did and you said Xiander is the more sensible one, then what would he have done (Sam points towards Xane)?”

“First, Xane does not have stones yet, he’s still in the learning level. Though they are twins, Xane’s mind is a little younger.”

“Hey, I’m not a kid minded angel. Xiander said so himself.” Xane says, " I just learn slowly. Actually I wasn’t supposed to be created but don’t know how it happened. I’m actually part of Xiander.”

“Xane, how many times I’ve told you, we are twins. No one is part of anyone.” Xiander says in a scolding manner.

“Ah, ok, hey bed, can I sleep.” Before anyone could say anything Xane falls onto the bed and falls asleep.

Seeing Xane has fallen asleep, Vonruil says “Xiander, I never understood this fact. In angels there’s no such thing as twins, you both are the only ones, and he always says that line…”

Intervening Xiander says “Vonruil I know what you’re asking. Actually I myself don’t know what happened that caused Xane’s creation. The main creation was me, but somehow he also got created but, he’s everything opposite of me. I learn quickly, he’s slow, my fighting skills are level 9, his fighting skills are level 0. Over time I have gained 10 stones, but he doesn’t even have one. He fails every mission, I seldom lose. He’s not scared of the thunder but I am. He’s fearless but I think a hundred times before taking a step.”

“So basically, angels don’t have twins and you both are the first.” Morris asks in a confused tone, “And, he’s indirectly a part of you or like half of you…”

Cutting Morris’s sentence midway Xiander says “Look, there’s no logic to what happened. The fact is he’s my twin and that’s what matters to me and him.”

Getting up Sam says “Can I have a look and see your injury. (Xiander looks confused) Don’t worry even if it’s an internal injury I can diagnose the cause and then treat you accordingly.”

So Xiander takes his shirt off and as he places it on the side.

Morris says “What’s it with you angels, damn your bodies are enough to kill especially the girls population.”

Everyone smiles as Sam inspects Xiander and then says “He has some internal bleeding problem. I’ll give you some medicine. Then we’ll see the result in the morning and then I’ll give you the medicine accordingly.”

Just as Sam goes towards the table to get the medicine, Xane begins to whimper and says “Don’t take me away, Xiander, Xiander, no leave me, Xiander they’re taking me away, Xiander….”

Hearing Xane, Xiander quickly gets up and goes over to Xane and says “Xane, I won’t let anyone take you away from me. Stop worrying.”

Getting up Xane says as he’s crying “But they said they would take me away cause I’m always pulling you back. They said the reason you’re not leveling up is cause you promised me you won’t get more stones till I get them, so I’m…”

“Oh come on, Xane, who told you that?” Xiander asks in an angry tone.

Making an angry face Xane says “Zildor said and he’s the leader of angels, he won’t lie.”

Taking a sigh Xiander says “Xane, the stones aren’t exactly lying around for me. Every stone has its own phase, I need to be there, but if I miss it then I have to wait. That’s all, I’ve been missing the chances. It has nothing to do with you. And I told you no one is taking you away, I won’t allow it.”

Replying, Xane says “But if you hadn’t come back for me when the sirens attacked, Vonruil would not have been hit and for leaving him, you wouldn’t have to stay in that cell for a week.”

“What, that’s why you were locked? Why didn’t you tell me?” Vonruil says in an angry tone

“See, now Vonruil is angry at you cause you left him for me, a silly reason.” Xane says pouting.

“Xane, if he hadn’t left me and come for you, I would have sent him to the cell myself, but true, I didn’t know it was the cause of that incident.” Vonruil says in a helpless tone “You guys are really something. Xane is small so I don’t expect him to say, but Xiander, you should always tell me what’s happening. I would not have let that happen.”

“Yes, Sir, I will. Now Xane, can you please forget this take you away thing and I promise I’ll get the rest stones soon, ok.”

“You’re my twin so I accept.” Xane says in a childish tone “You know we can’t stay disappointed with each other for long. But, I’m your twin. How come Vonruil knew you’re hurt but I didn’t?”

“Xane, you and Xiander are my brothers. The bracelets we were wearing has a sensor in it. You're inactive cause you haven't leveled up yet. You can’t sense any of us, but we all can sense you. Once you reach level 5, it will activate on its own. Then you will know as well.”

“Xiander, you should rest. The bleeding hasn't stopped yet, so please,” Sam says in a worried tone “And if Xane is not comfortable, you both can sleep. We won’t make any noise.”

Just then Morris yells “YEAH!”

Looking around Morris says “Sorry I was hearing the local baseball runs.” Morris quietly turns off the radio and places it back on the table.

Smiling Xiander says “It’s ok, Xane doesn’t usually sleep till late. He’s just a bit tired…”

Gleaming Xane says “But I’m up now!”
