A Get Together Of Angels And Humans

As Xiander smiles he flinches again so Sam comes over to check. As he places his hand on Xiander’s chest, Xane says “Hey, how come you’re not hesitating in touching Xiander. (suddenly in a happy tone) You like him, do you, huh…huh..do you, wow, now Xiander isn’t alone anymore, congrats Xiander!”

“Why don’t you get the ceremony ready as well?” Xiander says in a irritated manner

Getting excited Xane says “Really, oh my….”

Cutting Xane’s sentence midway Xiander says “Xane, Sam is a doctor, of course he won’t have issues in touching. If he does, how is he supposed to treat me or any patient?”

Getting a little sad Xane says “So, then Sam you don’t like Xiander…You don’t think Xiander can be your partner, or do you have someone you love?.”

Waving his hands in the air Sam says “Hey, for someone who learns slowly, in this matter your mind really runs a lot. First, I don’t have anyone I like, let alone love. And, as for Xiander, we just met. But, I would consider it my luck if we were a couple. But, he’s an angel and I’m a human, so I don’t think it’s possible.”

Hearing Sam, Vonruil and Xiander get amazed. Vonruil is amazed because he knows human boys fall in love with human girls, while Xiander is amazed a male actually said it would be his luck to be his partner, because every angel in Artmitis fears him.

Seeing Vonruil’s expression, Morris says “Brother, don’t worry, actually he doesn’t like girls, he likes boys, he’s gay. You do know about gays, right?”

Vonruil says in a calm tone “I didn’t till I came here. Actually, back on Artmitis, we angels are all male, and paired for eternity. So, having a male partner is natural. But since I came to Earth, here it is a big deal and mostly all boys love girls.”

Getting excited, Morris says “Who’s your partner? You said Xania was your political marriage. Do you have a true one?”

Being quiet for a while, Vonruil says “Being the duke, my pair was chosen the day I was anointed the duke. But due to political reasons, the king got me engaged to Xania. For Xiander, as the rule goes, on puberty, or reaching sixteen, the king choses a partner, but because of Xane, the king has not chosen anyone for Xiander, yet anyways.”

Xane comes crawling over towards Vonruil and says “So, is there any rule that a human can’t be an angels pair? Huh, is there?”

Smiling Vonruil says “Well, not that I know off, but I’ll try to find out but, before that it’s more important if they are a pair, otherwise it’s no use of knowing a rule exists or not.”

Then Xane goes crawling over to Sam and Xiander and says “Well, should Vonruil find out or no…no..no..that I won’t say. He should find out. What say?” Then Xane takes hold of both Sam’s and Xiander’s hands and joins them.

Feeling Xiander’s hand is cold Sam says “Hey, why is your hand so cold?” Sam takes his other hand and then checks his forehead. Then looking at Vonruil “Brother, you also are cold. OK, so for angels having a fever is going cold?”

Vonruil looks worried and says “Yes, if the injury is severe, we tend to have minus zero temperatures, and the weaker ones will faint.”

Sam again checks Xiander’s heartbeat and pulse and says “You need rest, I’ll get the medicine.”

“Hey, but our medicine is for reducing temperature, won’t the medicine backfire?” Morris says in a confused tone

“Yes, that’s why I’ll give medicine to raise the temperature instead.” Sam says as he removes the medicine.

“Hey, since when did we humans have low temperatures?” Morris says confused

“That’s not so. We humans also can have low temperatures cause of many reasons,” Sam says “Normal people face it when their nutrition is imbalanced. Rest, people with arthritis, stroke, diabetes also face low temperatures. So, yes there is medicine for it. (coming over to Xiander) Xiander, take this medicine, your temperature will be normal soon. You’ll feel better then.”

Xane holds Vonruil’s arm and says “Vonruil, why can’t they be together?”

Hearing Xane, Morris says “Xane, according to us humans, if two people are meant to be together, even God will make ways for them to be together. So, let them decide for themselves. As far as I know Sam, he’s never had any love life, but then his life hasn’t been a bed of roses either. None of us have had a life ever since the allies took over. So, I think the first priority is Xiander’s health and then they can decide, rest your rule that you guys know best. In our world, not everyone accepts a boy liking a boy or a girl liking a girl. But there are a lot of boy to boy and girl to girl couples who are living a happy life, and some even adopt kids and have a lovely family.”

Then Sam comes over, and Peter says “What’s the matter, you came here?”

“Oh, I gave some sleeping medicine. I wasn’t sure it would work but he’s sleeping now.” Sam says as he takes a chair “I hope after the rest, he’ll feel better.”

Coming over Xane says “Are you three humans?”

Looking a little puzzled Peter says “I thought you already knew that the moment you came in. If I remember correctly, when you came in, the first thing you asked Vonruil, was why are you living with humans.”

“Well that’s cause I felt you were human, but now by looking at you, I don’t know.” Xane says confused “One thing I know for sure is humans are not friendly.”

“What??” Morris says shocked “Who told you that? Hey, cause of one or a few humans, you should not judge the entire race.”

“Race? Why would I judge a race, I am only saying humans are like that, not a race.” Xane says in a frank tone “You guys can race all you want.”

The three boys fall on the ground laughing as Peter says “Xane, you really are a kid you know. Race as in the entire human population, not the sport.”

“Yeah, what we meant is you can’t judge all of us cause of someone or some people who might have been bad to you.”

“Actually, it’s cause of Xiander.” Xane say in a low esteemed voice “He was captured by a human, a devil, he kept Xiander captive for a full year. Thankfully Xiander managed to escape. YOU (he points to Sam like he’s interrogating him), you saw the scar on his right side, didn’t you? (Sam nods) It’s from that devil, he stabbed Xiander. I hate humans…no I hate that devil cause you are humans but so far you all are very good.”

Peter says smiling “Xane, that’s what we wanted to say. Not all humans are the same. There are some like us who love everyone.”

Smiling, Xane says “Thanks for taking care of Vonruil and Xiander! So, where do you guys stay?”

The boys look at each other and Vonruil says “Xane, they stay here with me. They don’t have a home, before this they used to spend the night under the bridge that comes in the way of the forest.”

Getting up Vonruil says “It’s getting late, why don’t you guys go to sleep, let’s see what’s next in the morning.”

Sam gets up and says “Wait, I made Xiander sleep in your place, let me make you a bed first.”

Vonruil says “It’s ok, you don’t have to…” But Sam states his point saying “No, your wounds are fresh, you can’t sleep on a hard surface. Wait, I’ll be back.”

Sam quickly sets up another soft bed and places a bottle of water and a glass next to the bed.

Seeing Sam, Vonruil says “Is he always like this or is it with me?”

“Well, he takes care of everyone, that’s Sam,” Peter says, giving a beaming smile “But he is extra with you cause now for him you’re his elder brother.”

“Brother? Who’s brother?” Xane asks confused

“Oh we call Vonruil brother cause he’s older than us and since we are a family now then calling him brother is sensible.” Peter says with a bright smile

“Wow, it all feels like a dream, humans and angels.” A little lost Xane says “Is this really possible?”

“Xane, we don’t know what you angels think but for us humans, well most of us, we believe in harmony.” Peter says in a happy tone “Once we accept someone as a family, we will take care of life. And, after losing our families, we three were barely making it through. With brother we found a family again.”

Xane looks at Vonruil who’s only smiling. Xane remembers Vonruil is very soft at heart. Usually he would have been emotional, but he was only smiling and again his eyes looked empty.

Speaking in his mind Xane says “What’s happened Vonruil? This isn’t you.”

Just then Sam says “Xane, you can sleep here. We’ll sleep there.” (Sam points to a bed on the other side)

“What alone?” Xane says in a scared way

“What? You don’t like sleeping alone?” Morris says concerned “I don’t think it would be ok to sleep with Xiander or brother, both are injured. If you don’t mind, one of us can sleep with you. Of course if you want, or else you can …”

“Ah, Sam can you please?” Before Xane could complete his sentence Sam says “Sure!”

As he comes over Xane says “I have the habit of hugging.”

Smiling Sam says “Hey, come on you’re like a younger brother to me. Brothers hug and sleep. It’s totally normal. Come on, you also were very tired when you came, go to sleep. Good night.”

Xane also says with a big smile “Good night!”

As the day rises, Xiander gets up feeling fresh so he tries to stretch. Flinching a bit he stops and sees Vonruil is up so he goes over and says “Hey, feeling better?”

“I should ask you that, and thanks for coming,” Vonruil says looking out of the window “I wanted to tell Xane also but didn’t get the chance.”

“Vonruil, actually Xane has been searching for you since you disappeared…”

Shocked Vonruil says “What? What do you mean by that, what searching? I was banished from the universe.”

“What? When?” Xiander says shocked

Taken back Vonruil says “Wait, then does everyone in Artmitis think I’ve disappeared?”

“Vonruil, the duke is banished and no one will know about this, is that even possible?” Xiander says shocked ““Vonruil, first, I don’t think even the king knows. You’re still the duke of Artmitis. The only thing we know is after the war, you disappeared.”

“First, what’s with Xane searching for me.”

Cutting Vonruil’s sentence midway Xiander says “Vonruil, I just said everyone in Artmitis thinks you have disappeared. Xane couldn’t accept it and ran off leaving a letter saying he's gone looking for you and won’t come back till he finds you. Thankfully, I found him and brought him back, since then I have been searching for you, whenever I get the time to leave.”

A little at ease, Xiander says “Then yesterday I finally found you and the rest is in front of you. Yesterday when I found you, I was so happy and wanted to run over and take you back. Then I saw you with them and thought you’ve found a new family and that’s what you left us. I was going back, then some people came telling to hand over the boys cause they were your followers. I couldn’t understand when you saved them, why the hatred and what about banishing you. Again, the rest is in front of you.”

“The stone reverse, was it with them?” Vonruil asks in a concerned tone

Replying, Xiander says “Yes.”

“Xiander, you know we should never reverse a stone? What if your injury was serious?” Vonruil says concerned

“Well, you are there for Xane!” Xiander says smiling

“Actually we both are alike.” Vonruil says looking at his tattoo “We always put everyone ahead of us.”

“Vonruil, what’s the matter?” Xiander says concerned “You look different, your eyes, they look like they are empty. The brightness, what happened?”

With an expressionless face Vonruil “Xiander there are some things we can’t say…” Intervening Xiander says “Not even to us? Vonruil, are we so apart, I was made to protect you, with Xane I accept he became my priority, but I never…”

“Xiander, you’re taking it the wrong way. You and Xane will always be special to me. Come on, we grew up together. We’ve been through so much, but this. It’s something even the boys are wondering. I know I will have to tell you all some time, but it’s not now. At the present I myself don’t know what I’m going to do.”

“Vonruil, whatever, remember we are always here for you. And don’t do anything on your own, can you promise that?” Xiander asked worriedly.

A little lost, Vonruil says to himself “I can’t keep the deal with Satan for too long. I have to finish this soon.”

As Vonruil is thinking about this, Satan is standing in front of his fire well and says “Vonruil, I thought you wanted to take your revenge. You seem to be settling down in the human world. If this is the case then I have to take the next step. Sorry, but it looks like I might have to void our deal.”
