Chapter 8: The Heroes. (part 1)

While Cian Edmond was trying to join the red tower to live a new life with as much freedom as possible in the new world, in his second chance, still far away from the continent of Morke in the other half of the world, located in the continent where a great battle is being fought against the sea people and their invasion.

Promptly the merchants and even the boatmen spoke of it, they spoke of the strange light that illuminated the skies of the White Kingdom, the most powerful of all Dans, even feared by the other continents in degree of power.

It meant something different to everyone, but those with enough age and knowledge knew it with certainty, that light meant only one thing to them and they had seen or read it only once in their lives.

At the White Fortress located on the coast of the mainland at a distance of 3 villages from the White Kingdom, fire lit up the dark sky, while the sound of steel was amplified by the place.

"Send these filthy creatures back to the sea!" wielding a long spear he stabbed at fish-bodied monsters that came out of the sea armed with swords, shields and even casting magic.

"Sir yes sir!" armed soldiers raised their long shields covering their front and those behind covered their heads, while others passed long spears between the shields.

From the edge of the wall archers and musketeers fired at the creatures.

"these things don't sleep!" a wizard complained from the side of the man who was in the front line fighting without armor or shields against the beasts.

"apparently not Julian, but the way things are going, our soldiers will fall from exhaustion."

"I'm surprised we still have soldiers, we have more than 23 thousand dead and not counting 10 thousand seriously wounded" the magician reminded his companion of the information while he created a wall of fire in front of the beach "this will give us some time, they are already here."

in full darkness four figures stood on the beach.

"General Lian, Master Julian we'll take it from here" a young and beautiful looking woman with wavy hair just like the night itself, looked with a determined manner while giving a cut to the air with the great sword in her hands, the cut generated a blast of air to expand through the place splitting in half all the enemies in front of her.

"Well done Angelica, now we follow" a young man with a bit of excessive fat on his body with glasses that allowed him to see better and his long hair, smiled at her with clear joy.

His face changed when he received Angelica's smile in the sense of confirmation, with that a silver colored object materialized out of nowhere, strange for the people of this world, but for him something he only saw in video games, a desert eagle.

Without hesitation or fear, he pulled the trigger, over and over again, as the magazine emptied, the bullets traveled through the place hitting the heads of all those wearing robes, speculating that they were wizards in that case the troublemakers of the place.

"leave us some Dante" complaining the other athletic bodied young man pounded his fists as two mittens that completely covered his hands manifested as with a roar he went inside hitting the enemies that were coming more and more out of the sea.

"Mario follow me!"

"Yes Sofia!"

Sofia spoke to the muscular man asking him to follow her and he nodded and jumped in the air to see the young woman with a dark robe and short red hair among the enemies opening the sea.

Mario gained to the side and his fists burst into fire as he pushed all the enemies away from around him, Sofia on the other hand channeling her energy to open the sea.

"Angelica I'm ready."

"Your turn Dante!"

the chubby young man ran in the direction of the wall, tired he reached the place demanding some air, he laid down on the ground and the desert eagle in his hand transformed into a sniper rifle.

"In position!"

as the leader Angelica ordered everyone in their positions and at the last moment she took her sword as if it was a knife down in her hand and made a cut from her head to her chest in front the sea parted quickly, leaving in sight a groups of mages who were releasing a giant creature from the sea, but at that moment Dante fired two shots killing the 5 mages.

"Look at them, what took us two weeks they accomplished in a few hours" Lian complained as he fell on his butt on the ground.

"These are the heroes, summoned by the kingdom, to bring us the future, they are our salvation" Julian spoke to him calmly as he watched the group of young heroes.

"they came so scared, except for her, she received the blessing of death in her power, it is as if she had seen it or maybe someone who was close, but being so she is the best trained for this kind of battles, especially when the day comes" worried the old man had a dark look on his face.

Lian looked at him and spoke sadly "at least we were lucky, Morke summoned a hero who was killed and controlled by the necromancers, who is now running trouble on his continent, if morke falls.."

Julian looked at him sadly "if Morke falls, all of the north will that includes Dod, Svared and even the elven nation of Lys."

they both watched the change as the soldiers applauded the heroes summoned from another world, the greatest feat of the continent Dans the heroes and the end of the war against the sea people.
