Chapter 83 Noah's Home
John only woke up when he felt a kiss on his lips. John opened his eyes and saw Maggie looking at him lovingly. John smiled at her as he sat up and held her, the rest of his wives were still sleeping, so he stood up. He princess carried Amy to the bathroom and took a shower with her. They helped wash each other passionately before they got out and dried each other.
They then brushed their teeth and John helped Amy brush her hair. Amy pushed her hand through John's hair, fixing it some while giving him a wild flare. They then walked out of the bathroom and went back to the bedroom, they woke up Maggie, Carly, Victoria, and Alicia, who got out of bed and went to the bathroom to clean up as well.
John then walks over to Sarah and rubbed her hair, waking her up. She looked up at John with a smile, before John picked her up. John then went and picked up Joey as well. Amy grabbed both Cassy and Charlie, then she walked downstairs, following John. John placed Sarah in her booster seat and Joey in his booster chair. Amy did the same with Cassy and Charlie before she sat down.
John walked into the kitchen and started to cook breakfast, Today was his day, he decided he would make pancakes, some sausage, and some scrambled eggs. The smell of food was quickly in the air and the rest of his family was already at the table waiting patiently. John set the food on the table before he walked over to Karen's room and knocked on the door.
Karen came to the door with sleepy eyes, she looked up at John. John said, "Breakfast is ready." Karen nodded her head before she shut the door and John could hear some shuffling from inside. John then walked over to Amanda's room and knocked on the door. John had a smile on his face and he could hear some pacing from inside the room before Amanda opened the door, wearing orange pajamas. John looked down and saw Amanda's blushing face, he said, "Did you enjoy yourself?"
Amanda blushed and said, "W-What?"
John said, "The room, was it to your liking?"
Amanda nodded and said, "Yes it was very nice. Thank you."
John nodded before he said, "I'm glad. Anyway, breakfast is ready." Amanda nodded before she closed the door. John then walked back to the table and saw that Amy had served everyone and they were waiting. John walked over and sat at the head of the table, Amy poured John a cup of coffee before she kissed his cheek, she then sat down. John sipped on his coffee as the adults waited for the women to come so they could eat. The kids however were in their glory, eating pancakes, getting syrup all over themselves.
Karen and Amanda came out of their rooms and sat at the table. They all then began to eat, enjoying their pancakes, eggs, and sausage. They talked happily during breakfast, everyone was relaxed, the only exceptions being Karen and Amanda. They were both nervous about last night, for two very similar reasons.
Karen because she saw Amanda and Amanda because John had seen her last night, or at least she thought he did. Since he did wink in her direction, however she was still unsure until this morning when John was obviously teasing her when he came to her door.
John said, " I am taking Noah to his home in a couple days."
Amanda said, "What! Noah said he lived in Virginia, that's a long way to travel."
Amy reacted calmly and said, "Why are you going, Honey."
John explained, "Noah wants to go home and nothing will stop him. I don't want him to die before he gets there."
Maggie said, "Why do you have to go? It dangerous."
John responded, "It is dangerous, but no one else will help Noah and I can handle myself out there."
Sarah said, "Daddy is leaving! No!"
John got up from his seat and patted Sarah's head. He said, "Don't worry Sarah. Daddy is super strong." John pulled his sleeve up before he flexed, his arm grew by at least half the size, honestly it was quite astonishing. Sarah immediately cheered up as she poked his arm, she couldn't move it at all, it was strong as steel.
John then sat back down, and said, "I won't be gone for long. Maybe a week."
Alicia said, "That's good. I want you back here as soon as possible." His wives immediately nodded.
Seeing this John said, "Alright I will be gone for one week. I will leave tomorrow or the day after. I will be with you for all the time until I leave.
Victoria said, "Sounds good, we all love it when you are around." The rest of his wives nodded their heads.
Amanda said, "You're accepting him leaving that easily?"
Amy said, "We know John will be okay. Haven't you seen him slice bullets in half?" Amanda nodded thinking more clearly now.
Karen said in shock, "What did you say. Slice bullets in half? Why have I never seen this?"
Amy said, "I don't know? You haven't really been around John very often."
Karen nodded and said, "That makes sense."
John then switched the subject, and they finished their breakfast quickly. John then followed his wives around and they visited friends' houses and even had a nice barbeque.
John then spent the next 2 and a half days with his family. In the past few days, Joey and Cassy had stood up for a while, using a chair to balance themselves. Charlie had also tried to copy them, but he wasn't quite strong enough, even though he was a couple weeks older. John genes are definitely stronger than some random guys. It was plain to see, even when they were born their muscles were very developed.
Anyway, this caused John and his family to host a party for all of their children's achievement. John had spent every waking moment with his family. Karen and Amanda had gotten closer to John and his family. Karen had officially become his children's aunt; she was very happy when Amy asked her to be. This gave her a new focus in life, one that she totally did not expect.
It was the day of John's departure, and it was around 10:00 am. John kissed each of his wife's goodbye and hugged Sarah for a long time before he was able to leave without resistance. John walked out of his house and saw Rick standing with Noah in the main area. John walked over to them and said, "Alright, I'm ready to go."
Noah said, "That's great, I can't wait to get there." Noah then climbed into the armored truck; the truck had been modified by the 2 of the Androids. It was now capable enough to ram cars out of the way, it looked like the phantom wedge from GTA.
John was about to get in when Rick said, "John, the kid hasn't even entertained the idea that his family is dead. If they are dead, be careful about how he reacts."
John nodded and said, "I can handle him, the kid has barely delt with any walkers. He will be no problem to handle. See ya later."
Rick nodded and said, "See you in a week." John nodded before he climbed into the truck and began to drive the truck to the gate. John opened it with the remote before he drove out and closed it behind him. John then drove to the highway, heading straight for Richmond, Virginia.
Noah kept on talking and talking to John, not realizing that John was listing to music. He was totally unable to see John's ears, this was because they were covered by his dark blue hoodie. John eventually had to start ramming through cars, this slowed them down significantly. John also had to refuel the truck many times, they had enough fuel to get to Noah's camp and back to the prison.
In the more densely packed areas of the highway, John had to slow down to 30 miles per hour. This added a significant amount of time to their drive.
Noah just didn't know how to shut up, so John pulled a PSP out of his back pocket and gave it to him. Noah finally closed his mouth after he started playing Super Mario bros. It seemed that being able to play a game he hadn't played in so long caught his attention.
They arrived at Noah's community after approximately 13 hours, this was a huge annoyance to John as it would usually only take about 8 and a half hours. However, they had cleared the way of any vehicles, so the way back would be way would take less time.
They arrived at 11:00 pm and parked half a mile away, they then walked to Noah's community. Noah had put his new PSP away and began to talk about his home, he told John about their walls and different cool things they had. He also explained about all the memories he had of this place.
They walked for about 10 minutes before they arrived at the close to the front gate. John had pulled him off to the side of the road, using the trees as cover. There was a spotlight that pointed in front of the gate. John looked around and saw that there were two guards standing at the top of a truck that was stationed in front of the gate.
Noah walked over first with his hands up while John stayed where he was pointing an AR 15 at the 2 guards just in case. His worries for nothing, as the men recognized Noah immediately. John saw Noah talked to the guards for a while, before he called him over.
John walked out of the shadows, his steps almost silent. John stood near Noah as the two guards observed him, they then hopped down off the truck and opened the gate for them to come inside. John looked around and saw a six-foot brick and iron bar wall that surrounded about 35 houses.
The guards then closed the door before they guided Noah and John over to a bonfire that was in the middle of the neighborhood. Noah immediately walked as fast as he could towards a woman, the woman noticed him and sprang to her feet. The woman pulled him into a hug, and two young men who were sitting near her got up as well.
After they hugged for several minutes, they separated and Noah's mother asked, "Where have you been? I thought I lost you. Where is your dad?"
Noah said with a sigh, "It's a long story. Dad didn't make it."
The woman and two boys then burst into tears as they hugged Noah. Many people were looking at Noah and his family. Seeing this Noah said, "Let's go home mom." He then started to walk off with the woman and two boys, John seeing this followed them. Many people looked at John with funny looks, after all he had showed up with Noah, also he had a sword strapped to his waist.
A couple minutes later, they arrived at Noah's house. Noah smiled widely as he finally made it home, all the things he had experienced until now burst out as the boy wailed into his mother's chest. When he calmed down, feeling much more relaxed he introduced John.
He said, "This is John, I wouldn't have ever made it back here if it wasn't for him."
The woman walked up to John and gave him a strong hug, she said, "Thank you!" The two boys also nodded their heads in agreement.
When she backed away, she asked once more, "What happened while you were out there?" Noah then began to slowly explain all the shit that had happened to him since he left with his father.
Noah said, "... Eventually I got taken as a captive by a group at a hospital. I was forced to work as a janitor for the leader. After a long time, when I was starting to lose hope, John came and saved me. That wasn't his original purpose though. He had gone there to save three of his people, but two of them had died, the other one was okay. He was injured and had broken multiple ribs. When John tried to make the trade for his person, the leader shot him in the chest. John went into a rage and stabbed her through the heart with his blade. John's group then saw the situation and told everyone to get on the ground. All of the captors refused except one, so they were instantly shot down. John and his group then brought all the captives to their base. I asked the leader of John's group to help me get here, but he immediately rejected. He said the only person that would do it is John. I asked John and he agreed, so a couple days later we left the base and finally after 13 hours on the road we made it here."
Noah mother and brothers were shocked many times throughout his explanation. Noah mother then said, "I'm glad you made it back, even though you have experienced so much." She hugged Noah one more time for about 3 minutes before she led Noah to his room and let him lay down.
John was standing in front of the two boys unsure of what to do, then he pulled out the PSP and handed it to them. Their eyes shined as they sat on the couch and alternated playing the game. John sat on a chair and leaned back as he ate a bag of Cheetos. John then chilled for a while until Noah's mom came over to him.
She said, "Thank you once again for helping Noah"
John nodded and said, "No problem, Ma'am."
Noah's mom realized something and said, "Sorry, but I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Debbie. My sons are named Jonah and Mitchel."
John smiled and said, "Nice to meet you, Debbie."
Debbie said, "You're welcome to stay here for the night, I'm going back to the bonfire. Come on boys!" She then walked out of the room with Jonah and Mitchel following her, still distracted by the game. John then pulled a blanket out of his pack and covered himself. John then pulled out his radio and contacted Rick.
