Chapter 68 Loose Ends

When John woke up in the morning it was only 6:00 am, John got out of bed sneakily. John then left the room, and walked out of the building, he arrived outside and looked around the courtyard. Rick was standing there with Hershel and drinking some coffee, he had full farming attire on.

John walked over to them and asked, "How is the farm doing?"

Rick responded, "Yeah everything is going great. Nothing has been messing with them."

John nodded then said, "We should start our expansion soon. It will take a couple months and we want to expand sooner so we can extend the farm."

Rick said, "Yeah, that would be good. We need to be able to supply all the food needed just by the farm."

John agreed with him then said, "We should also send more teams out and start to clear the area. Taking down walkers and also hostile humans."

Rick nodded and said, "Yeah we need to increase the people we have, but we also have to be careful who we let in. That group of guards that left were a little hostile."

Hershel nodded and said, "Yeah, we don't want this place to fall due to internal strife."

John nodded and said, "Okay. We wait a year to bring in any large group of people. But I saw a group of people, I think they might be perfect for the expansion."

Rick said, "Why's that?"

John said, "They were all wearing construction clothing, they built a makeshift fence around their area. They could be useful with the expansion. I'm planning to go there now and scout them out, to see if they can be trusted or not."

Rick said, "Alright, but bring some heavy artillery with you, just in case."

John nodded and said, "Will do."

John then walked back to his room and woke up Amy gently, she woke up and kissed John sweety. John kissed her back enthusiastically, then he said, "I'm going out for maybe 2 hours."

Amy said, "Can't you stay for a while? We want to be with you more."

John smiled at her and said, "This is the last time I leave for a long time. I promise. I'll be back before the others wake up."

Amy nodded slowly and said, "Alright then, I'll see you soon." John smiled and kissed her tenderly, wrapping his arms around her. He stayed with her for a couple minutes, flirting with her and telling her crappy jokes. She was giggling quietly, and it was like she forgot he was leaving soon.

John then kissed her one more time, before he walked out of the room. She smiled at him as he walked out of the room, she then lay back down and slept. John walked through the hallways and out of the building. John walked over to his car and looked inside his trunk, it was now empty, except for the empty black duffle bags. Yesterday, a group of people had moved all of the bags out of his car and put the empty bags back. They had also emptied the truck, putting all the food into the food storage room.

John closed the trunk, then he got in his car. John drove out of the prison and headed off, to a nearby neighborhood. The drive was short, only about 30 minutes. John walked into one of the buildings and summoned 25 Androids, he also summoned a pistol for each of them. He gave each of them different pistols, so they don't look too uniform.

John summoned a Scar for himself, it had a laser, and a suppressor, he also summoned a desert eagle, he attached a suppressor, he also summoned 5 extended clips for it. John then walked outside and summoned 6 pickup trucks, he also summoned 2 Bobcats. He told the Androids to wait here, and he would come back soon to get them. He also told them to go scavenge the house as it would look weird if they come back without any supplies.

John then got into his car and drove off, John looked at his map and looked for the guards on it. The Map automatically names the dots once he knows who they are. John zoomed out a little and found them, it seems they were booking it. They must be expecting someone to come after them.

John sped up down the road, pushing 100 mph, they were currently on the move driving around 40 mph. John continued towards them, and they stopped after 20 minutes. John was able to catch up to them in another 20 minutes. He was only a mile away and they were still unmoving, so John got out of his car and covered it with some branches quickly.

John then ran towards the runaways, John arrived in 6 minutes flat. John arrived in front of a small house. John summoned a Molotov and threw it at the house, the house caught fire quickly because of how dry it had been recently. John then waited for a while behind a parked car, his rifle pointed at the front door.

John looked at the Map and saw that the men had noticed and were rushing over to the front door. There were 13 of them and they came barreling out in a panic. John didn't wait for them to recover and immediately began firing. He killed 8 of them before they realized they were under attack and dove for cover. Once they had cover, they began to shoot back, when they showed any part of their body, John would immediately shoot them. When there were only three of them left alive, they threw their weapons away, and walked out of cover.

John walked out as well, the men were shocked, they asked, "Why?"

John said, "Nothing personal, but you know where we sleep. I can't have that." John then fired 3 times in quick succession, hitting each of them in the gut. John then walked over and collected all the guns, the men who were bleeding out could only watch helplessly as they begged for mercy. John ignored them as their friends who had already died, rose up and tore them to pieces.

John then drove back to the neighborhood, driving at 130, he arrived very quickly. John saw all the Androids standing outside next to the trucks. They had collected a reasonable number of supplies, enough for it to not look suspicious.

John then ordered them to get into their vehicles and they drove back to the prison. John opened the gate and brought the Androids inside. Rick came over and John introduced the Androids to him. John then led them into the prison and showed the Androids around and introduced them to some of the people who were awake. It was still only 7:30 am, John then left them to fit in as he took all the weapons he looted to the armory.

John then walked over to the administration building, he then walked into his room quietly and saw his women still sleeping peacefully. John walked over to the cribs and saw that Joey and Cassy were sleeping. However, Charlie was awake, and he was looking at John with a smile, John picked him up and held him for a while.

John made him a bottle, then he lay him back down in his crib. John then lay down next to Alicia and hug her close. She turned around and snuggled into him while sleeping. John wrapped his arms around her and closed his eyes.
