Chapter 45 Michonne Meets John

Michonne who had hid in the woods, was not bothered by any walkers. She had the walker guts on her, and it camouflaged her, masking her scent. Climbing out of her temporary base, which was a hollow tree. Michonne somewhat hobbled away, feeling pain in her leg with every step. This pain caused her to travel slower than she usually would.

Walking through some tall grass, a pack off four walkers come towards her. She was about to pull her sword, but they weren't coming towards her. They passed by her, without even a glance in her direction, this confused Michonne to no end.

She stared at them as they walk away, then she looks down and notices the walker guts on her. Connecting the dots, she is stunned for a second, discovering this new technique that could be used to walk among walkers.

Michonne then continued to walk forward, through the tall grass that reached her knees. At the end of the tall grass was another patch of forest, walking through the forest slowly, feeling tired, she walks even slower. When she finally exits the forest, she saw a building 30 yards from her.

She walks over to the building and uses the wall as support as she continues forward. The wound on her leg burning as her sweat glides over it. Her pack feeling extremely heavy at the moment.

After she passed the building, she could see many parked cars in front of the buildings. Checking a van, she looks into the window, but she is interrupted when she hears a car coming towards her from down the road. She hides behind the van as the car parks in front of the building. It was a matte black 1964 Ford Mustang, it had chrome wheels and grill, along with trim. A man hops out of the car, he is pretty tall, has medium length black hair and he was wearing all black, his black leather trench coat was especially striking, considering the ungodly heat.

The man looked around, observing the area, his gazes lingered when he looked in her direction, but he turned away and walked towards the entrance of a store. The store was called Southern Discount, the man chuckled to himself. Michonne found this man weird, he was much too clean, and his vehicle was also clean, she couldn't see any dents on it either. This looked suspicious to Michonne, she thought, 'He must have a base nearby, to be dressed that clean.'

As John got out of the car he had summoned right after winter was over, he turned the car off before hopping out. John was currently using an Ak-47, it was equipped with a suppressor and that was it. John also had a pistol, but he had changed it to a Glock 15, this gun also had a suppressor on it. Lastly, John had switched out his big ass buck knife, for a wooden baseball bat, that had spikes on it.

John looked around the area, but he didn't see anything. His gaze lingered when he saw a blue dot on the Map, but he chose to ignore it for now. He walked towards the entrance, while keeping an eye out for any movement from the blue dot. Seeing that it didn't move at all, John pried the wood that was covering the door off before he kicked the door down.

As he walked in a walker came over attracted by the sudden noise and light coming into the boarded-up building. Seeing it shamble over, John swung his bat at the walker's legs. Dropping to the floor, the walker tried to stand back up, but John swung one more time. Bashing the walkers head in, pulling his bat back, it was now covered in rotten walker brains. Walking through the store, John grabbed some batteries and bandages. In one section of the store John saw some barbie dolls and other toys that the kids would like.

Continuing John saw some candies that were still on the shelf, seemingly untouched. John throws that into his pack as well. His pack was now very full and didn't quite close all the way. John also grabbed some baby formula as he remembered that Amy and Maggie are having trouble breastfeeding. John couldn't fit the formula into his pack, so he just put it in a basket he found on the ground. Seeing that the place was pretty much empty of anything that would be useful at the moment John walks to the entrance.

John can see that the blue dot had still not come out of its hiding spot. Walking out of the store, John walks over to his car and put his pack and basket into the car. Looking at the Map, John was able to see that the blue dot still wasn't moving, suddenly he noticed a red dot coming from behind him slowly.

Quickly rolling to the side John is just missed by a bullet, seeing this John quickly takes cover behind his car. Pulling up his Ak-47, he looks at the Map to see the red dots position, bullet still flying at him and hitting his car. John now knowing where the shooter is and being pissed that they ruined his car's paintjob, stands up. Aimed straight at the man, John pulls the trigger, bullets shotting out at rapid speed, full auto. John didn't aim for the mans, head or chest, no, he aimed for his shoot arm and then his leg.

The man shooting at John had no chance and was quickly on the ground, wailing in pain. John looks at the man for a second, then checks the Map and saw that the blue dot is still there. Walking over to the man, John disarms the man of his pistol, but the man pulls a knife out on John. John having enough, grabs the man wrist and snaps it backward, causing the man to scream.

John then questions, "What's your name? Why are you here?"

The man shouts, "Fuck you!" Hearing this and having enough of this guy's bullshit, John punches them man square in the jaw, knocking him out. John then lugged the man over to his car, he set him down, then tied him up with some rope, before putting a bag over his head and shoving him into the trunk.

Looking into the Map and still seeing the blue dot, John stands next to his car looking at the now shot up paint job. John says aloud, in the direction of Michonne, "Now, you wouldn't happen to know how to fix this would you?!"

Michonne who had been resting and watching this whole scene play out, was shocked by the man's combat prowess. And to know that the man in front of her, knew she was there the entire time. She was surprised that he didn't come over to her when he had first spotted her. Knowing that her cover was blown and looking through the mirror of a car, she was able to see John had his weapons holstered, she walked out of her cover. Michonne walked over to John slowly, unsure if she should try to run or not. But she knew that even if she decided to run, she wouldn't make it far, seeing as how he took down a man, who had a gun. With absolutely no problem at all.

Arriving in front of John, she observed him. His facial expression and body posture indicated he meant her no harm. But she could tell, he wouldn't hesitate to put her down.

John said, "Hi, I'm John. Mind giving me your name, friend?"

Michonne looked at the man for a second and said, "Michonne."

John looked at Michonne, completely unsurprised by the name, although he was surprised to see that Michonne looked a little different from the show, her skin was lighter. More of a mocha brown and she was "Thicc" if you know what I mean. John looked at her leg and said, "May I?"

Michonne stared at him for a while, but she eventually nodded. John then crouched down and looked at her wound. He was going to move her pants a little to get a better look, but Michonne grabbed his wrist and glared at him.

John looked up at her and said with a smile, "I'm sorry about that. Just wanted a better look."

Michonne let go of John wrist as he stood up, towering over her. He then said, "Well, Michonne. That wound looks infected. You won't be able to walk pretty soon. I can take you back to my group if you want. We have excellent doctors, I saved them a couple months ago."

Michonne looked at him for a minute before nodding. John just chuckled and said, "Not much of a talker, are you?"

John then opens the passenger door for her, Michonne hopped in and sat down. John then moved around the car and got in the driver seat. John said, "It's gonna be a long drive, better get comfortable."

John then starts to drive; the car was silent. John looked over after a couple minutes and saw that Michonne had passed out. Sighing John began to drive faster, swerving around any vehicles in the way and making plenty of sharp turns.

After 40 minutes, John pulled up to the front gate of the prison, which opened even though no one had been there. Months ago, John had gone out on a run and come back with 7 Androids, John had them build this door. This door could be opened by a remote, that was voice activated in case of theft.

Driving inside, John got out of the car as some people came running over. Hershel came walking over without crutches. John had an Android build Hershel a good prosthetic leg that fit him perfectly and didn't hurt him at all, the only thing is, he couldn't run using it.

Anyway, Hershel came over and had a look at Michonne before he had John carry her inside and set her down on a bed. John then left her alone with Hershel, walking out of the cell block and over to Rick who was standing with Beth. John could see that they were giving baby Judith some fresh air. They were smiling together.

Lori had died during childbirth, even though John had his Androids try their best they couldn't do anything to stop it. John knew that this was going to happen, Lori was too malnourished. Even though she had been eating the same food as everyone else and was being fed well, she was still having problems. Rick had a mental breakdown for a while, but he came around and gotten back to normal, after a long chat with John.

Also, Lori and Rick's relationship had been better since they had sat down and talked about their problems. During childbirth, Lori had told Rick that if it came down to her or the baby, he should choose the baby. Rick agreed, not thinking that something would happen but, you know something did happen. After a dramatic goodbye Lori died and was put down before she could turn. Rick had run off, but John had gone and dragged him back.

John said to Rick, "We got a problem."

Rick asks, "What do you mean?" John doesn't answer and just guides Rick over to the trunk of his car, on the way Rick noticed the numerous bullet holes on the car. John opened the trunk and revealed the barely alive man who had shot at him.

John said, "This guy shot at me for no reason, I think he was after that woman, Michonne. This means there is another group nearby, we need to scout this place out and see what kind of group it is. We should ask Michonne about it when she wakes up."

Rick said, "Yeah, we need to find them. Before they find us."
