ZhiYi took hold of MingYu's hand and gently pried it off of his robes before guiding the distraught man to sit down on the edge of the bed. He took a seat next to him, still holding on to MingYu's hand for comfort.

"MingYu, what are you talking about?" ZhiYi sounded worried. But MingYu was too disturbed by the image embedded in his mind to tell if ZhiYi was worried about his sanity, or of what was happening in Wupei.

MingYu took a deep breath in to calm his mind. He was a rational person. There was an explanation for everything, no matter how absurd – except for this! Living people didn't have things crawling and wriggling under their skin!

"I don't think he is alive… In the sense of the word," MingYu said every word slowly, making sure that it made sense, no matter how ridiculous it might have sounded at the moment.
