4 The Truth

Daren was stunned for a few minutes but he took a deep breath and said "I'd like you to tell me where my wife is and how my wife died." Daren had already decided that no matter how hard the path is in the future, he will find his wife. Void smiled and laughed "Very well. Currently, your wife is waiting to be reincarnated. The line to be reincarnated is so horribly long that is will take at least a million years will pass for us but for her only an hour will pass. Sadly, when your wife reincarnates, she will not remember you. Even worse, when people reincarnate, the chances of being with somebody from their past life is slim to none." When Daren heard this he became depressed. Seeing this, Void continued. "Thankfully, you have me to reincarnate you. If I reincarnate you, you can choose the planet you want to go to."

Hearing this, Daren immediately became happy but then, he remembered what exactly Void said and became depressed again. "You said that it will take at least a million years for her to reincarnate. Does that mean I will have to wait a million years before I can see her again?" Void shook his crystal clear head. "Yes and no. Yes, you will have to wait a million years to see her. No, you won't realize a million years had passed. I will put you to sleep for a million years. While you are asleep, I will continue to work on this toy I made. I will give it to you when you awaken. During your time asleep, your soul will be tempered by the void in order to make your soul as pure and large as it can without destroying the mortal body you are put in. This will bring immeasurable benefits for you."

Daren looked at Void "You said something about a toy. What in the world is it?" Void smiled mysteriously "You will know when the time comes" Daren was sure that he wasn't going to get any answers from Void so he just nodded and asked another question. "So, who exactly are you." Void looked me in the eyes and said. "As my name says, I am the void. Everything, even the millions of realms out there, originated from me. The fools that believe that there are three or nine realm out there are frogs in a well. There are existences out there that can destroy the Celestial Emperor with just a thought but, right now, you don't need to know that. You will know that when the time comes."

Daren was shocked when he heard this. Back when he was alive, he read quite a few light novels so he knew what type of existence the celestial emperor was. He was a being that ruled over all gods. He could destroy a realm with just one move and Void is telling him that that something can destroy him with just a thought!? How big was the smallest realm? The smallest realm was at the size of Earth's solar system! What the hell!?

Daren recovered from his shock and asked his last question. "You said that if I were to know what happened to my wife, I would walk the path of slaughter. What exactly happened to my wife?" After Daren said this, Void looked at him and sighed. "Look, kid, your wife was killed by the old organization that you used to work at. I honestly think you might be one of the stupidest people I know. That note was so damn fake, I wanted to kill you again for believing it. The name of the organization is called Tarantula. This organization is big on your planet but absolutely tiny in comparison to the main group. Tarantula is aiming to dominate the three lower realms. Right now, the celestial emperor might stay around for another four million years if there is no interference"

Daren nearly fainted. "How in the hell am I supposed to grow into a power that can destroy Tarantula in just three million years!? When Void heard this, he looked at him with disdain. "Who in the hell said I was giving you three million years? If you don't destroy Tarantula in at least a hundred years, I will personally come down there and kick your ass." Daren fainted when he heard this. He woke up later with a blank expression then raged. "Screw you, author! Aren't you supposed to have a good build up to the fight with Tarantula? There are books out there that have taken 2000 chapters and haven't even seen the celestial emperor!" Void immediately smacked Daren. "Stop breaking the forth wall, you idiot!"

Daren stopped trying to piss off he author because he knew the author held his life in his hands. Void tried to change the subject so the author won't try to kill Daren. "So, are there any more questions?' Daren immediately knew what Void was trying to do so he shook his head. " Alright then. Get ready to sleep for a million years." After Void said that he gathered a tiny piece of the energy around him, placed it on his finger and fired it a Daren. When it hit Daren, Daren suddenly started to feel drowsy and fell asleep almost five seconds after it hit him. After Daren fell asleep, Void muttered under his breath. "I have high aspirations for you. I hope you don't fail me.
