Chapter 2

The vampire in front was the first to unsheathe his blade. I slowly step out of the aisle I was in. I sigh and unsheathe my blade, "You know, I'm not in the mood for this so why don't we just go our separate way's?" I say. Honestly, I know that that would never work. They were here to try and kill me, and they weren't about to let their food get away. "Sorry human, we can't do that. We're here to kill you, not watch you go on about your day." The vampire says. I sigh as the leading vampire runs at me.

I block the blows with my sword and swing at him. The vampire dodges the attack in a nick of time. While he is fazed I look past him and see the other three run towards me. With a flick of my wrist, my sword pierces the vampire in front of me. The vampire flops to the ground, slowly bleeding out. I face the three vampires, "Give me your strength, Yamata," I say aloud. Behind me, I feel the warmth of fire. This is one of Yamatas powers, it basically creates a wall of fire behind me that I can then use it against the vampires.

The vampires hesitate for a second before deciding on what to do. I take this opportunity to throw the fire behind me at them. I follow the fire closely, I pierce my sword into the heart on one. The vampire then gets consumed by the fire. I look to my left to see one on the ground screaming for water. There is only one that was unfazed by my attack, he may be trouble.

"You will pay human, you will pay for killing my comrades," he says as he runs at me. I sigh and lift my sword to block the attack. What happened next, I wasn't expecting. The impact of his sword brought me to one knee. I let a grunt out and smile. It's been too long since I've gon against this kind of power. I direct his sword to the side and use the hilt of my sword and hit him in the nose. He staggers back and I swing down at an angle.

He quickly blocks it with his sword and backs up even more. "You will have to try harder than that, human," he says wiping the blood from his nose, I sigh and smile at him. He thinks I'm trying, that's almost laughable. Honestly, I'm fighting like an amateur. I close the distance between us and we both exchange blows. At first, I was annoyed that I encountered the vampires, but now, now I'm having fun.

We continue to exchange blows, both of us looking for chinks in each other's defense. Obviously, strength alone isn't going to let me win this fight. Maybe take it faster? I increase my attack speed and continue to swing. I can tell he hasn't fought anyone this fast before, his face says it all. I feint an attack and punch him the nose. He dropped his guard and that was all I needed. I swing at his head and my blade connects with his neck.

The body trembles as my blade is stuck in his neck. "Unfortunately, you did not exceed my expectations. You will die for that." I take the blade out of the side of his neck and stab it in the middle. Carefully, I clean my sword and sheath it. I look down to see a burnt body. He seems to be barely breathing. "Tell your backup to not try and follow me or I'll do the same to them," I say coldly as I leave the store.

I know this one is shorter than the ones I have planned in the future, but enjoy! Next week I won't be able to upload any new chapters for I will be recovering from surgery.
