Task at Hand

Everett is met once again with a familiar face. 

"The Edge of the Universe," Everett thinks to himself. 

Everett stands face to face with the Almighty One.

"Why am I here now?" Everett questions the wise mage. 

The Almighty One walks around Everett examining him. To Everett, it felt like an eternity.

"How long is this guy going to take? Is he to look at me and not say anything?" Everett thinks to himself.

"You have grown a bit stronger haven't you?" The Almighty One says.

The young mage scoffs at the question "Did you see what happened to me? I literally got my arm cut off and I lost myself for a brief moment" in an irritated voice. 

"Hmm," the old man thinks. 

A brief pause. 

"Yes you were defeated but what did you discover about yourself?" the old man asks. 

Confused the Virtue of Courage questions what he has accomplished in his defeat. The Almighty One puts his hands together to do some magic to show Everett his battle.

"What is this magic? Is this the power of a god? Now that I think of it what is the Almighty One? What happened to the previous Heavenly Virtues."

Everett shakes his head as his mind is all foggy. Thoughts that are constantly going on in Everetts's mind but he ceases to remember at that moment. 

"Your right I did obtain new skills and I learned that I am quite durable."

Almighty One nods as he moves closer to Everett "Yes you must never doubt your limits always strive to do your best hence the reason why I chose you to be Courage."

"I guess your right. How about the others?"

"Yes, your fellow Virtues fared well against their opponents. Your comrades all came out alive some better or worse"

An image of Kaneda and Testuo flashes on the screen.

"But reinforcements arrive" The Almighty One waved his hands showing Ryoichi, Itsuki, and Sho.

Everett looks at his arm.

"Captain Ryoichi was the one that healed it for you. The Head Captain of the Pacfic Mage Assocation"

"Wow thats the power of the Head Captain" Everett thinks to himself. 

"So you know everything that will happen?" Everett questions the Almighty One. 

"Yes of course I am one who brought life, The almighty one who knows all."

"So do we succeed"

"Just know that the road of fate and destiny that you are riding will have many ups and downs. Many directions and routes that can change the future." Almighty one states. "Just remember the task at hand. Defeat the Sins. Claim all three artifacts. I will then summon everyone back here."

"Yes of course" Everett agreed verbally and physically nodding but deep down he knew something was a miss.

"When defeated where do the seven sins go too?" a question that lingers through his mind but he thinks nothing of it as they haven't beaten one yet.

SHINE 

"Ugh"

"Oh, it seems you waking up. We shall meet again Everett C Sage and Mr. Courage. Remember the Heavenly Virtues weren't the only ones awakened. You'll soon meet the others." The Almighty One says. "Everett one more thing Crystal Of Life you must be there. Under -The -

Everett disappears from "Edge of the Universe"

"I believe you will overcome this hurdle."

Back in the Emeraldo Palace 

Everetts's eyes open. He sits up on his infirmary bed.  He looks at both of his hands as they are fully functional.  Everett looks out the window with stars lighting up the sky. 

"You him huh" a male voice speaks.

Everett turns to look in the opposite direction.

"Who are you?"

Sitting up on his bed the figure speaks "Sanada Tetsuo Luitenent of Squad 10."

His wounds healed as well they both looked towards one another 5 5-foot space separating them. 

"So he really does have one" Everett speaks to himself. "Am-"

"Everett C Sage. The virtue of Courage yeah I know" Tetsuo finishes his sentence. 

"So you know me?"

"Everyone knows who all of you are. You guys are the topic of the discussion and the key to defeating those demons. We were just to aid and assist you.

Everett listens intently. 

"You're also being dubbed the " Chosen One"-"

Everett with a happy expression. 

"But from what I saw out there you got your ass whipped."

"Huh" as his expression changes. 

"Compared to the other Virtues who were successful you were the only one who lost." Tetsuo says. 

Everett irattaed slowly gets off his bed.

"Why are being so hostile?"

"Not being hostile just speaking the truth" Sanada slowly gets off his bed.

"So why are you here? You must've got your ass kicked too." Everett fires back.

Everett gets off his bed and summons his 7-branched sword in his right hand in an attack stance. 

Tetsuo stands as well and his compass begins to spin. 

"When I was being brought up in here I saw a practice field outside."

"I wanna see the Virtue of Courage in action first hand. I wonder if Kaneda taught you well."

"I won't lose," Everett says confidently after that talk with the Almighty One. 

In the Main Room. 

"Princess no need to be rude or out of line but you must tell us all the details so we can prepare for what's to come." Ryoichi insists as the three captains and lieutenant look on.

HISSSSS

"You dare question the Princess like that-" Jericho says unsheating his blade.

"Jericho" Emilia stands as he puts her right hand on Jericho as she moves with her hands closer together to Captain Ryoichi.

"I-"

WHOSH

"Sorry am late what did I miss" Kaneda says.

Everyone in the room with a look of disbelief as valuable information was about to be given.

"Oh did I interrupt something?"

Ryoichi calmy exhales before she speaks "Princess Emilia here was about to tell us the whereabouts of the Crystal Of Life"

Kaneda looks at the Princess.

"You knew where it was the whole time? Did you know two of my comrades almost died? My students were put in danger" Kaneda exclaims to Emilia.

"Kaneda you must have known" Ryoichi speaks.

"Risks of the mission. Yes, I knew the risk the possible is death is HIGH in this but this could've gone more smoothly if she were to just cooperate better with us" Kaneda says.

The room falls silent for a moment.

A voice finally speaks "I'll tell you guys now" Emilia says.

"It's located at the bottom of the Giant Emerald underground there's a path."

"We are retrieving the crystal now and bringing it back to Zadrige. Serenity you got the information"

"Yes sending you the coordinates now."

"Cecilia let the Virtues know we'll be handling this ourselves. Send just the use Captains there now." Ryoichi demands.

WARP WARP WARP WARP WARP

The Five Captains head off to retrieve the Crystal Of Life.

WHOSH

Alice, Chonsee, Dillia, June, Mae, and Marx walk in.

"You just missed the Captain's," Cecilia says. 

"Is something wrong Emilia?" Alice asks.

"You look upset?" June asks.

"Oh no am fine just tired with all this rebuilding and ordering tires me out"

"Ok we'll leave you be pardon our intrusion," Marx says. 

"Hmm, they left without any questioning," Jericho says.

"Yeah," Ceilia wonders. 

The 6 Virtue leave the room.

The 6 slowly walk away.

June stops as the others huddle around her "Ventus. Where did they go." 

"The coordinates are here," Ventus responds.

"Alright everyone the plan is-" Chonsee. 

STEP STEP STEP 

HUFF HUFF

Fast footsteps approach the group. 

A butler runs past the group

SLAM

"Princess. A fight has broken out on the practice grounds."

"Oh my"

"Everett and Luitenent Tetsuo."

"Whaaa" June was shocked.

"Gracious," Alice says.

"Oh, this outta be good. Never seen Everett fight in a minute and I've never seen Tetsuo fight at all" Marx remarks. 

"Well we need Everett on board," Chonsee says. 

"His wounds just healed" Mae was concerned. 

"Guess he just has to heal them again," Dillia says. 

The group rushes to the Practice Grounds.
