A man rushed through the streets, his footsteps thumping against the pavement while the rain poured in sheets.

His breathing was labored, and his heart was beating as he left a trail of blood behind him.

The man's eyes began to droop, and his vision blurred as the world around him began to swirl.

The feeling of confusion was tremendous, and he realized he needed to get some rest before collapsing.

He searched his surroundings with a furious burst of energy, looking for a quiet alley or hidden nook where he could seek cover. His mind raced and his thoughts became jumbled as his body began to shut down.

Finally, his gaze was drawn to a little alleyway wedged between two tall buildings. He raced inside without hesitation, the darkness surrounding him as he pressed his back against the cool stone wall.

He felt his body become heavy as he sank to the ground, his breaths coming in jagged gasps, the blackness closing in around him.
