Unpleasant Future

Ethan leaned against the headboard while Helena rested beside him, her head finding comfort on Ethan's shoulder.

Helena's soft cheek caressed Ethan's shoulder's smooth, sweaty skin, glistening with perspiration. Helena's eyes stared vacantly at her hand, which was moving randomly across Ethan's chest, forming abstract patterns that could only be interpreted as 'love' with each touch.

"Why are you so daring?" Ethan asked gently. "Unlike your usual self."

Helena looked up, her face filled with pain. "You still don't believe that I can change my attitude towards you, do you? That's the only way I can show it."

Ethan chuckled softly. A mix of joy, amusement, and sadness appeared on his face. "Impressive. I didn't know you could be so naughty."

Helena stopped her intimate touch on Ethan's chest. Her pale hand touched the side of the man she loved as she said, "I won't let you be the only one who brings me happiness. I'll do the same for you."
