"Of course, I'm going there," Ethan said impatiently and irritably. "Where else do you think I'll look for clues?"

"So, Madam Joanna is going to Lady Alana's place to uncover the history?" Rosaline guessed from what she knew. Yet, she quickly realized that was the only reason Joanna would be at Duke William's mansion.

Rosaline then fetched a city map from a drawer and marked an X at the location of Duke William's mansion.

"Thank you, Rosaline!" Ethan expressed it without a smile.

Rosaline nodded. She then recalled something that seemed quite important. "Wait a moment. I have something that might be useful for you. I deeply regret not giving this to Madam Joanna."

She then took out a green-gemmed ring and handed it to Ethan with cold, trembling hands. Ethan's hand brushed against hers, making him aware of it. "Take this."

"What is this?" Ethan asked somewhat suspiciously.
