The Villainess Survival

The truck swerved into the young lady, flinging her as her screen scrapped the asphalt road. Just as she started getting her life together, she had to have been met with the grim reaper himself. How pitiful. But contrary to her expectations, A bright light touched upon her skin for the first time. She tried to open her eyes but to no avail so she could only follow the direction of the heat. What she didn't expect is that she had been reincarnated into the novel she wrote as a kid. But unfortunately, it had to have been the villainess.

I am quite new to writing so I would appreciate constructive criticism

'Am I dying?'

Cries of help were heard, as someone in the crowd dialled the police explaining the situation with visible panic. The rain poured harder and harder only to solidify the situation at hand. The vehicle which had hit the innocent lady had crashed onto a nearby building. The cabin had a young man who was unconscious on the airbag that had been released from the impact. The lady who was a flung a few meters laid motionlessly only able to look at the sky.

Each second that passed felt like an eternity before the light in her eyes started to dim. The voices that she once heard screaming started to muffle until she couldn't hear them. Her breath became ragged as tears fell from his eyelids and went down the side of her cheeks until they reached the floor

'Am I crying?' The disembodied figure questioned herself

At the age of 18, After high school, she was kicked out of her home and was left to fend for herself. The reason for her being kicked is due to her sexuality and her overly religious parents didn't accept that. She had to find a part-time job and worked overtime a lot. before returning to a tiny little apartment she managed to rent out. her life was hell

But in the middle of her despair, she stumbled upon a tiny ukelele that had been left by the previous owner of the apartment. It was tucked away in a corner where no one could see it. Amber pulled it out and removed the dust before remarking that it still looked quite new. Without even knowing the reason behind it, her hand glided onto the cracked phone and she installed an app to tune it. After a couple of days of practice, she slowly but surely got better until a whole year passed.

During that year, she got a better job and now instead of working overtime all the time; she was now working with a defined schedule that would occasionally give her overtime. And for her progress in music, it skyrocketed. She had even taken the time to learn other instruments like the guitar and piano. The young lady was extremely passionate about the art of music. She started to post cover's of popular artists songs onto a video sharing platform called 'companytube'. At first, she didn't get much recognition but she continued doing it as she had nothing to lose. her following on the platform grew to a decent size of 15 thousand followers. She even started to earn some revenue from the platform. Her life had truly started to take a turn for the better from now on.

But the god's aren't so kind. On a day like any other, the lady was walking towards work when she had to cross a pedestrian crossing. As always, she looked both ways before crossing. A truck was heading at full speed while the driver looked to have fallen asleep. She only had the chance to turn her head before she was assaulted by the stinging pain of the truck that slammed her.

She kept observing the rain dropping from the sky as it slowly slowed down and was right in front of her face. Time seemingly stopped as events from her past played on each droplet that was hovering on top of her. She could only stare at them with hatred as images of her parents appeared.

'What a shit life' she thought to herself. The outside noises could no longer be heard as she sat there in silence. Then suddenly-

*Ploop*

Her life was extinguished with the sound of a raindrop making contact with water.

'Where am I?' She thought to herself. She couldn't see anything but the everlasting darkness that covered her sight. She couldn't even feel anything at all. It felt like years passed by as she remained silent all this time. It wasn't that she didn't want to do anything, but more that she couldn't have done so. She could only remain still and do absolutely nothing.

It felt like she was going to go crazy with the years of silence, only having her own thoughts to rely on. Somehow, by some miracle, she managed to keep her sanity stable. Inside wherever she was, she would meditate and stop her mind from thinking about anything else. With all of those thoughts. she also organised her thoughts from her life and vented her anger to herself by trying to kick and move around. She would keep meditating for a long time but for her, it now felt natural.

Suddenly, a light shone down from a tunnel. She felt the heat of light on her skin. Trying to chase it, she tried to wiggle her way out of the tunnel only to be struck by the sudden influx of pure air. The pain entered her lungs and her sensitivity looked like it had increased. She yelped out crying but before she could do anything, she collapsed and fell asleep.

"Congratulation mistress. It's a baby girl"

A figure with blue eyes looked down at her daughter and could only give a sincere smile. It was certainly a challenging labour but she went through with it. The girl in maid clothes gave the lady who had just given birth the baby.

"What would you like to name her?" the maid questioned

"A...Amber, m- my lovely daughter. Amber" a fragile voice stuttered as she spoke those words. Although she stuttered, no one could debate that her voice was angelic. the baby in her arms she caressed her face and gave a kiss to her forehead.

"I may not be here for long, but I promise to give you the best life I can. I promise." She whispered to herself a promise as she looked at the baby that was sleeping peacefully on the soft blanket the maid wrapped her in. The maid could only observe the sequence of events before excusing herself and leaving the room.

The new mother stayed on her bed and looked only at the baby for the longest time.
