His voice remained stuck in his throat as his brilliant golden eyes gradually turned bright red as a sign of his emotional agitation. He appeared slightly frustrated while staring fixedly at the young lady.

Meanwhile, Kalliope raised an eyebrow at his silence and she couldn't help but knitted her eyebrows in the next moment. She wondered if she had been too patient last night or too easily persuaded into allying with him that he didn't seem to hold any fear towards her.
