Volume 1 part 13.

The street became busier the further I went on. Many western people passed me, most of talking on the phone. The road beside me was so full of cars, & on the both sides of the road, markets, small shops of various kind had been built. I entered every single one of them, & honestly, there were lots of eye-catching things.

Morimari preferred staying home while playing games, & I didn't have the time to hang out with other students of my class while reading internet novels, or studying. Looking back, those were the only things I did back in high school.

Some adults, & boys my age would glance back at me dazedly. The boys might be admiring Renaquinn's looks, but the adults... they probably get the whiff that I'm a rich kid. For that reason, I tried to be as unnoticeable as possible, but in the warm spring air I couldn't help but be carefree also.

'Hey, you!' like an idiot I stopped dead in my tracks as I heard the voice call me, & glanced back; a thug looking guys in their teens were walking towards me.

Looking around, I realized that currently no one was in the street; the street didn't look dangerous at first, but only now I noticed how desolated it was. It was then I realized how stupid I really was; cutting classes to wander around when I don't even know how to get back, & without a phone nonetheless. Even though grandmother wasn't here, that didn't mean I was completely free to do whatever I want. Have I ever been this impulsive before?

My hear started to beat dangerously fast so that it made me feel afraid that they could hear it, but my feet wouldn't move. The footsteps sounded closer, & I wanted to move but my brain was totally blank, I was completely clueless on what to do; it's not like there should be a prince charming to save me, that only happens to the heroine not the villainess.

A large hand touched my shoulder, & my brain suddenly jolted awake; 'You-'

That was when I dodged down, & started to run passing the thug like guys before they could recover; a rush of adrenaline ran through my veins as I kept running, without looking back even once. Even as I came back out to the busy streets, I kept running. It wasn't fear, but excitement; I couldn't remember the last time I had such an adventure, no. That probably never happened to me.

When I finally came back to my senses, I was inside a fancy place. You know, sometimes you miss whole bunch of things that happened right before you. Like you were the only one who noticed that time skipped ahead, when in fact, it didn't. Nice chandelier, full of people... and I had started to wonder off again. It felt like I was in some kind of spy movie, yep. I would probably enjoy those if I ever watched them. Hiding from the receptionists, walking behind the luggage carrying things, & acting as if I was a lost child. That was easy since I was actually lost. While walking behind the luggage, I met the start of...stairs, & I started to clamber it.

The stairs seemed to go on for ever, but I kept clambering, walking next to adults, like they were my parents, or guardian when employees passed by; it was amazing how no one caught me. Seriously, I was sh*t at acting since I can't exactly lie.

-Anyways, when are these stairs going to end? Hah, I'm tired...

After finally reaching the end of it, while following a couple who were dressed in fancy clothes, I parted ways with them. My excitement had already died since nothing exciting was happening. For example, the employees suddenly becoming suspicious, or I meet a thief... yep, I'm totally dying for adventure.

That was when I heard a familiar voice from room... 316, the room at the end of the corridor. It was slightly open, so I could hear the voice clearly.

'... disgrace. If you were like your brother... don't ever disappoint me again,' a woman seemed to be saying. I couldn't hear the voices well, since I was standing far. So, I got closer, hungry for some adventure; I was almost about to peak through the space left when the *clack*clack* sounds of heels were heard. Towards me-no. The door.

I quickly hid behind the door, my heart beating out of my chest. This time out of fear, because the woman sounded angry. The door swished open, almost hitting my face, & I held my breath automatically, but luckily, the woman didn't open it too hard. It stopped just before it touched my nose, & I watched, turning to my right side as the woman walked away. Woman with... blood red hair?

Realization hit me fast; Akito's mother! (I forgot her name) That's why it sounded so familiar! Then, who is in this room?

I peaked through the gap even though I already guessed who it was, & while moving the door creaked.

'Who's there?' Akito asked with quiet voice as usual, though now it sounded... enraged, but what caught my eyes were the forming bruise on his left (or maybe right) cheek.

Yep, something I could never, ever imagine... and, I feel horrible now that I've seen something like this. My heart ached even harder than before, & tears were threatening to spill from my eyes.

So, that is how this all happened.
