Following my initial interactions with the girl, we easily got along, and Lancera quickly became part of the little clique that I formed and a key member of my fangirls.
The events were very swift as if fate had long prepared this line of events for us.
At first, she was just someone that praised me endlessly with an adoring gaze. This earned her a lot of approval from the other fangirls, who felt that this person was similar to them in some ways even though she is from royalty.
Then, the Hall brat (well, she wasn't the Hall brat at the time) became my favorite simp in the entire school.
She just really a way with words, you know? Every time I saw her, she would've come up with a new poetic way to praise me, staring at me with adulation in her bright violet eyes.
In addition to compliments that she would rain down on me with, the girl also seemed to catch wind of my weakness of desserts—thankfully, I think I hid it on time and wasn't figured out…
H-Hopefully…
Anyway, I thought that giving her a bit more attention wouldn't do any harm.
But… it seemed as if all my subordinates had been transferred from my leadership and under hers without my notice.
I guess that I am a pretty irresponsible leader—you know, the kind that only called her underlings to her side for the sake of looking cool, the type that sits on her subordinate's back when she gets tired after walking 5 steps—but hey, that didn't mean that I didn't have power!
I'm worshipped! I'm a deity!
People even ask me to bless them by touching their foreheads! (Yea, I felt like a priest... kinda sinful? *Insert nervous laughing SFX)
But I soon realized that being a deity and being a leader were two different things.
Being a deity meant being fawned up to the heavens, looking down at everyone else as they fought to kiss my feet—these people would never expect anything more than having the opportunity to see my figure and kiss my feet.
On the other hand, being a leader meant that although other people looked up to them, it wasn't to the extent of worship. People felt that this person could be replaced if they were unsatisfied with her leadership, but she would be the one that they listened to during times when they needed to speak to their deity, their representative.
So even though I was in a much higher position in my fans' hearts, Lancera was still second only to me. As a result, they were inclined to trust Lancera when it came to matters about me.
If that girl tells them I told her I'm not feeling well and is resting in the school's nurse ward, almost everyone would believe her and choose her as the representative to take care of me.
-- Something like this has actually happened before... and NOT just once or twice.
And so as time went on, the time Lancera and I spent together gradually increased, and I didn't even realize it until it was too late.
Until I caught wind of the rumors.
Oh, the terrible rumors.
The rumors that would eventually twist into the 'truth' by the blasphemous tongues of…
… My very own fans!
WHY?!
EVEN MY MOST FAITHFUL FANS ARE BETRAYING ME?!
;-;
What do you think the rumors that she speaks of are? ;)
Thank you for reading and supporting me, and I hope you all continue to do so if you enjoyed the novel so far~
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
