I did not know when was I got up the next day and Spencer was not by my side. I was searching for him around the room before he can be found in the study room. The room was enormous and I cannot believe that I killed the mistress of the house.
Frankly, I did not hear any police came knocking down the door yet.
"You're up?" Spencer asked me as I was walking toward him. He was still looking at the papers that were on his table before I was taking a peek at them.
"What are you doing?"
"None of your business," he said as he was tucking the paper away before I pouted at him. I might be his wife but he still hides things from me. No matter, I will find out what and I will do anything that I can to get the truth out of him.
"Shall we?" He asked as he was offering me his hand. I smiled at him before I took his hand and I went inside the big dining hall and he escorted me to sit in front of him at the table. I thanked him before he went to take his seat. The servants were serving us when I was putting the napkin on my laps.
"So, do you have any plan for us today?" I asked Spencer as he was gripping the knife and the fork to cut the omelet that we have for breakfast today.
"I still have to do some business unattended but after that, we will be going to watch some movies, if you like. Or we can do anything else that you want. I'm all ears," he said before some indecent images were coming into my brain. I choked on the food before I sipped on the water.
"Are you alright?" He asked before I smiled at him as I was nodding.
"Yes, quite," I said as I was trying to control the urge to take him down and have my wicked with him. I don't understand what was happening since my head was throbbing hardly right now.
"Do you have any pain killer that I can take? It seems that my head was aching," I said as I was pinching some fingers to my temple. Spencer stopped his action before he dabbed his lips and went to my side.
"Is it serious?" He asked before I smiled weakly at him.
"I think it was mild but I don't have any idea what was causing it," I said as I was grimaced when I was looking at him. His eyes were concerned about me. He sighed before he caressed my cheeks.
"Maybe we should check it," he said as he pulled me out of the chair and we were out of the room before we were in the bedchamber again. I was looking at Spencer when he pulled out some equipment that was required by the doctor. I don't know that he was one.
"I thought you're a kidnapper?" I joked with him when he was setting up the equipment for my medical checkup before he smirked at me.
"Well, I think we need to recover your memory back if you want to know the real husband of yours," he said as he was putting the stethoscope around his ears and he was checking my lungs.
"Breathe in," he said as I inhaled and hold.
"Breath out," he said and I exhaled. I don't know what to expect as I was looking at the wall of our bedchamber. I don't know when we will be out into the world as I know that I was not safe and people were looking for me.
"So, do you think people will come for me?" I asked him when he was taking a torch and he was checking my eyes responses. I was looking at his finger when he was scanning my pupils' reflection of the light.
"Involuntary system seems good to me," he said before he was taking some other notes and I was merely doing what he asked me to do.
"Spencer?" I asked him before he turned to look at me as he was cleaning up the medical devices that he was using on me just now.
"Where are my real parents?" I asked him as he stopped in his action and turned to look at me. He arched his eyebrows at me as I was fidgeting my hands.
"I just…It seems that my mind was still fuzzy and I wanted to know if they were alive and still are," I said as I was looking at him before he closed the medical bag before he joined me to sit at the bed. He took my hands before he kissed my knuckles.
"They are very much alive, I can tell you that. But they did not know that you have been kidnapped and I was the one that responsible for your demise," he said as he sighed before he was looking at me again, tucking my hair behind my ears.
"I'm sorry that I cannot protect you, my love," he whispered before I was leaning into his touch. He was kind and nice and I don't find myself hating him.
"I know. You try everything that you can to save me, even coming across the world," I said as I was smiling at him. He smiled weakly at me before he was taking the bag and he went to store it across the hall.
"I'll be back. Wait here, we can talk more to jut your memory," he said as I nodded at him. Then he was gone. I stood up from the bed and I was taking in all the little details that were in the room before I can understand what I was doing. I went to look at the bookshelves that were on the wall. It has medical books. So much for Spencer being a doctor and all, I guess.
Then I was looking around before I was standing in front of the window and I saw there was an unrecognized car that was parked conveniently in front of our house. Something triggered inside my memory as I was crouching down and I was holding my temple.
"In here," someone screamed before I was looking at the hand that was dragging me.
"Now, you have nowhere to run, little girl," the voice was familiar but I was not paying any attention to it before I was screaming as the memory was coming like a rollercoaster in my mind.
I was staring at the ceiling before memories flooded my brain.
I was running. I don't know why but I was running and I know that I cannot turn back now. It will be not wise to do so.
"Celine, where's our daughter?" Someone asked as I was running ahead to come hugging someone in front of me.
"Here," the woman said as she was smiling down to me. She was beautiful with her red hair like my own and I was smiling at her.
"You frighten us. Now come along, Olivia, your father's waiting as well as your fiancée," she said as we were walking hand in hand toward the men that were waiting for us. I saw a black-haired older man with violet eyes. He smiled at me before someone that was a young adult was smiling at me as well.
"There they are," the older man said before I was felt my lips formed a smiled.
"And here we are, papa," I said as I was looking at my mother. She merely smiled before I went to kiss him.
"How are you, ma chére?" He asked before he kissed my cheeks as I turned to look at the person who was in front of me. It was Spencer since I realized that I was staring into grey eyes that took my breath away.
"Hi," I said breathlessly before another couple joined us.
"How are you, my dear?" The woman who was a brunette with golden eyes was sneaking her hands around the arm of a man. Her husband, I deducted.
"Good, Aunt Lucy. And how are you faring?" I asked her before she smiled. And when she was about to ask something, a blast was off.
