Stella's well spun tale wasn't entirely a lie.
Lady Rain had indeed been getting insufferable nightmares these days. Perhaps it had always been that way but Stella didn't notice sooner. The princess didn't wish for her to bother nor let her into her chambers, but Stella knew every midnight when she suddenly woke up, breathless and gasping.
Since princess Rain ordered her not to accompany her, she could only refill her jug every evening before she went to bed and then wait outside her chambers until she was certain she had gone asleep again.
It was also true that the princess did need help from such ailment.
Stella hurried up the stairs with pretentious vigor.
However, it appeared she had been too reckless and had thought of the butler too simply.
"Miss Stella?"
The stern voice of Sir Louis called her back and she stopped stiffly. She turned with cocked brows to meet his strict gaze.
