Rain felt tears run down her cheeks. Like showers of rain paving through parched land, the warmth drenched her deadpanned face and broke free its emotions, cracking the vulnerability she lacked the guts to show.
The feeling stood her on pads of cotton_ soaring her in clouds of surreal solace. As long as it lasted, it was as though everything had come in good fate, and briefly her heaviness was eased.
Like the dream it was, it felt too good be true.
Notwithstanding, Rain made do with what her mind could afford. It was a rare luxury to be in such soothing trance after all.
Sobbing profusely, she was wrapped in someone's cold embrace, and getting patted gently on her back while she laid her complaints.
"Marcus." Rain sniffed. Her words were cracked and sounded nasal. "He killed Marcus. I feel… I feel terrible. I caused his death."
She wept even harder and her shoulders trembled with every burst.
