Bringing Light to the Castle
"Do you not understand what is going on? The prince is yet to consummate my lady."
Everyone one of the female servants gathered gasped and held a palm over their hanging jaws.
"…also, when the patrician women visited to have a word with her, they were affronted and thrown out the castle. Every person in the kingdom knows about it. Not only does the prince disregard her, the women of the royal court now despise her. She will have to live like she is forever.
Another chirped in thoughtfully,
"Say, the prince is the most charming of all men. He's sought after by powerful princess, but he chose her lady to be his wife instead. There's no cause to maltreat her. It could be the princess who loathes him.
There isn't anyone ignorant of the first prince's reputation. Merely his presence is ominous to the core. Her lady can only be blamed for her ill luck."
