The Man In Light Blue Robe

Having big round beautiful eyes with eyes the color of silver and pale skin, she looks just like Xia Lixue.

She is Xia Lixue.

Yin Yu stood still as he stared at the real Xia Lixue. She was chained up by Ghost Binding Chains.

'So...She's already dead.'

Xia Lixue tried her best to talk between sobs. "...Li Yi-"

"I will give you back your other half."

"...Hah?" Xia Lixue couldn't believe it.

"You couldn't reincarnate because you were missing half of the souls inside you. Right?"

"Why…" More tears fell down. Xia Lixue asked sadly, "What about our promise? Li Yin...You promised me that no matter how many lifetimes, we'll be together. You promised me!"

Yin Yu ignored what she said. He walked and stopped in front of her. Taking out the jade hairpin he got from that woman disguising herself as Xia Lixue, Yin Yu crushed it into pieces.

Immediately, golden lights of runes started forming around them and created a giant circle.

Xia Lixue's lips trembled. "You...really want to break our promise…"

Yin Yu stretched his hand out and with two fingers, pointed it in between Xia Lixue's eyebrows. Bright blinding light envelops both their bodies the next moment as half of Xia Lixue's soul inside Yin Yu's body got out and soared up towards the air into a phoenix above them.

Xia Lixue felt all her hopes broken. "LI YIN!"

Yin Yu smiled gently towards Xia Lixue. "I'm Yin Yu."

Boom! All the chains binding Xia Lixue suddenly exploded and broke to pieces right after.

As the phoenix rushed towards Xia Lixue and got inside of her, all the golden light runes rushed inside Yin Yu. The next moment, there were only the light orbs to light up the cave when everything went back to normal.

In Yin Yu's hand was Xia Lixue's core of sin. It was of the color purple, unlike the blue one Yin Yu got from before. Indicating that this one was a rank higher than the last one.

Satisfied, Yin Yu turned to leave without taking another glance at Xia Lixue.

Xia Lixue's ghost body was slowly disappearing starting from her feet. She looked sorrowfully at Yin Yu who was walking away without caring for whether she was there or not.

"Li Yin isn't as cold as you...You're not my Li Yin…"

She then continued to cry and sob even harder. But, no matter how much she cried, Yin Yu didn't even stop nor look back.

When Yin Yu got out of the cave and through the waterfall by using the same means he did earlier, he noticed that the dozens of orbs of light were following him.

Taking out a small box from his interspatial ring and opening the lid, all the orbs of light surprisingly knew what he wanted and went inside. When the last orb got in, Yin Yu closed the lid and put the small box back in his interspatial ring.

Yin Yu just had a feeling that they will be useful in the future.

Now then…

Yin Yu looked towards the house. In just a split second, he had already landed on the roof. Removing the seal, not too long and she unsurprisingly got out of the house immediately and also flew up to the roof opposite Yin Yu.

After taking the jade hairpin from her, it seems she had already caught on and decided to change back to her original appearance. Overall, even though her appearance is above average, it wasn't as pretty as Xia Lixue's appearance.

When Yin Yu got Xia Lixue's core of sin, he also obtained all Xia Lixue's memories. In the memories, this woman in front of him was the same one who stole half of Yin Yu's soul from inside Xia Lixue's body, hence making Xia Lixue unable to pass on to reincarnate. And in order to make sure that she'll be able to identify Yin Yu as Li Yin, she puts that half of Yin Yu's soul into a jade hairpin to wear it. With Yin Yu's remaining soul inside his body, she's able to trace it to the soul inside the jade hairpin.

Yin Yu coldly grinned. "Chao Xing"

Chao Xing was really happy. "So you remember my name."

Yin Yu knew that he'd eventually find his other half soul once he came to the mortal realm, but he never could have expected that there would be another person involved in this affair.

There were two reasons why Yin Yu didn't kill her just yet.

One, she was able to find a way to steal Yin Yu's other half soul inside Xia Lixue's body. When two people come together to separate and give each other half of their souls, it's like a promise they made with each other. No matter how many lifetimes, they'll be able to find the other half of their soul inside their significant other's body. This type of contract is only between the two people. So, how did Chao Xing do it?

Second, she was able to hide away Xia Lixue's presence so well that not even Yin Yu could have known that Xia Lixue was here even with his high cultivation level. If not for the orbs of light, would Yin Yu have known that Xia Lixue was behind that waterfall?

If not for those two reasons, he would've killed her a long time ago.

Chao Xing stared at Yin Yu with a warm smile. "Li Yin, you were able to hide your powers so well that I only thought you were an ordinary mortal with no cultivation. Not only are you no ordinary mortal, but you were also even able to seal me, a Nascent soul up. Ten thousand years have passed, it won't be surprising if you're also a Nascent soul but rank higher."

'Nascent Soul?' Yin Yu wanted to laugh. For those in the mortal realm, a Nascent soul is indeed high. But, for gods, that is one of the lowest stages of cultivation in heaven. Even a cultivator in the mortal realm at Immortal Ascension stage is still no match for a god of the lowest rank.

But, now is not the time for all that nonsense about mortals and immortals. Since Yin Yu wants to know why she was able to do what she did, all he needs is to take her core of sins and look into her memories.

With that in mind, in a flash, Yin Yu appeared in front of Chao Xing. Just as he was about to take action to get Chao Xing's core of sin by stretching out his hand, there was a large boom as a huge powerful wave of spiritual energy hit Yin Yu, destroying the entire ancient house in an instant into dust.

Yin Yu's feet landed on the ground with golden blood flowing out of his right hand that managed to at least direct most of the spiritual wave away. However, he found that in his current situation, there was a sword pierced straight in his stomach. Golden blood was also coming out through the corner of Yin Yu's mouth and going down his jaws.

He smiled as he pulled out the sword from his stomach as more golden blood poured out and stained the ground. "No wonder she was able to survive this long and even entered the stage of a Nascent soul. It also answers my previous questions. It's because of you."

Yin Yu looked up towards the sky. Flying in mid-air and holding onto an unconscious Chao Xing in that man's embrace was the same man Yin Yu encountered after getting out of that small town.

Yin Yu thought that the man in a light blue robe with a thin ribbon to tie his hair into a simple ponytail was just a low rank ghost. Yin Yu never thought that it was only a disguise to trick him all along. This was no low rank ghost. It was a god.

A god that is much more powerful than Yin Yu.

The man in the light blue robe chuckled lightly. "Your highness, this is my woman. If I don't make sure she survives this long, then I would be too heartless."

Yin Yu narrowed his eyes slightly. "You know who I am?"

"How could I not know? You're the nephew of his majesty. Your highness, with heaven's will coming soon in just a few thousand years left, everybody that isn't from the mortal realm knows you well."

Yin Yu didn't respond to that.

Hearing no more response from Yin Yu, the man in light blue robe smiled. "My name is Rong RuShan. We will meet again soon."

Finished saying that, Rong RuShan left with an unconscious Chao Xing in his arms.

Yin Yu smiled coldly. "Heh."

Suddenly, Yin Yu narrowed his eyes as he clenched onto the clothes on his chest tightly. The next second, he vomited out a mouthful of golden blood. Before he could react, he had already fallen to the ground, unconscious.
