"Where's Sofia? I didn't see her for like the whole day." Mrs Rosebush asked her husband while combing her hair, getting ready to visit her sick brother. Mr Rosebush didn't even bother to look at his wife as he kept staring at his phone screen with great attention like his life depended on it.
"I'm asking you a question!" Mrs Rosebush snapped.
"Tsk, I don't know." Mr Rosebush stood up and left the room in order to escape from his annoying wife.
Mrs Rosebush took a deep breath to calm her arousing heart down. If it hadn't been for Sofia's sake, she would have divorced this selfish man a long time ago.
At this exact moment, she heard their main door open with a slight crack. She instantly threw the comb away as she walked towards the living room with light steps. Sure enough, her long-awaited daughter was back home!
Mrs Rosebush's smile vanished into thin air when she saw her daughter's anxious expression.
"Where have you been?" She questioned with a heavy heart.
Sofia sighed.
"I went on a date to a park. But Aaron didn't show up. So, here I am." She gave her mother a tired smile.
Mrs Rosebush spared her daughter a suspicious look before asking, "Are you sure you went to a park and NOT a dōjō? Or a zoo?"
Sofia was confused.
"What do you mean?"
Mrs Rosebush crossed her arms.
"What do you have to say about this red mark on your neck? I can see that it's not a hickey."
Sofia's entire face flushed red in embarrassment. She pursed her lips unhappily.
"Mom, what are you saying? It's nothing. Don't think too much."
"It looks like someone has grabbed your neck tightly. Yeah, I can even see itty-bitty fingerprints. Tell mommy, who dared to touch you? I'll beat that person to death and put him in jail."
Sofia shook her head, annoyed.
"Mom! How can you put a dead person in jail?"
"Did you kill him already? OMG!"
Mrs Rosebush's eyes widened in terror.
Sofia sighed, dragging her body towards a sofa.
"No, you are the one who said you're gonna beat him to death. That's why I asked you that..."
"But still..."
"Mom, let's stop it now, okay? I'm tired like hell."
Sofia closed her eyes, not paying any heed to her mother anymore. Mrs Rosebush glared at her. "Like father, like daughter. I'm the one who's so stupid to be with these ungrateful people this long, hmph!"
Sofia bit her lip guiltily. She really couldn't tell what had happened to her mother. If she told her the truth, her mom would be so worried about her. She didn't want that.
(FLASHBACK)-----------------
Sofia stamped her feet in anger.
"Aaron, Do you think I have telepathy? I have apologized to you like three times now. So why do you keep scolding me, repeating the same thing over again and again? I'm sick of hearing it already!"
"Okay fine, fine. You're so noisy. I'm hanging up."
"Wait!" Sofia blurted out. "Get well soon."
Sofia closed her eyes and leaned her back against a bench, letting the wind brush past her, enjoying the cool consolation in it. A blind man with a white walking stick and black glasses, came to her direction and sat on the same bench, next to her.
He took out a chocolate from his coat pocket.
"Small lady, can you help me unwrap this?" He asked Sofia. Sofia opened her eyes and looked at the middle-aged man beside her.
"How do you know that... I'm a girl?" She was so curious. The man gave her a weird smile.
"I can smell you."
It was creepy...
Sofia's sixth sense told her that something wasn't quite right with this man. As a reflex, she turned to leave only to be grabbed by this so-called blind man. He dragged her towards him by her wrist and tightly held her neck, making her suffocate from lack of oxygen.
Sofia's face flushed in deep red and she tried hard to escape from his grip, struggling, scratching and kicking. Tears fell from her red-rimmed eyes. But the man was so strong. She couldn't even move an inch.
The man released her neck. Instead, he grabbed her waist and roughly held her chin forcing her to open her mouth. Then he opened a tiny bottle and made her drink a red liquid inside that bottle.
Just like that, Sofia was enforced to gulp down the weird-looking liquid completely. Unfortunately, there was no one around to rescue her. Sofia felt her head spinning around and she fell to the ground, fainted...

The officer sized Henry up and down several times. Henry quickly released his sister's hand and tried to explain himself when suddenly the cop burst out laughing, confusing the Adeline siblings.
Henry: ".?."
Thea: ".!.."
The cop wiped the sweat on his forehead with a smile.
"I'm sorry, little lady. I didn't know that you guys are actually sisters!"
Thea: "..." 'What? Did I mishear him?'
Henry: "..." '..What the fu*k is he saying?'
The policeman didn't realize their mood swings as he went on and on.
"This generation is so weird. I actually thought you are a boy.. but now I know you are a tomboy instead, right? Hahaha, don't mind this old man, girl."
Henry: "...." (His mind went completely blank)
Thea: "..?.."
Unexpectedly, she also started chuckling.
"Hahaha... You're so true, uncle. Even I feel strange when I walk with her as she looks like a boy! Hahahaa...My friends ask me whether he's my boyfriend."
"Hoh hoh hoo, really? How sad!"
Henry: "..."
His face filled with black lines. Thea secretly looked at him from the corner of her eyes, absorbing his expressions. His buffled look and dark face were priceless. She laughed so hard, just by taking a single glance.
Henry wanted to protect his man's pride thus he tried to speak however the duo didn't allow him to do so as they kept talking and laughing, appearing like they were friends for years. Henry was upset even more now. Looked like Thea was taking her revenge on him! Finally, Henry couldn't take it anymore and he exploded like a bomb.
"WAAAAIT! I'M NOT A FREAKING GIRL! NOT AT ALL! I'M A MAN! A REAL MAN, OKAY?"
The cop: "..." 'What happened just now?'
Thea: "..." 'Oh cheesy brat, you destroyed my fun!'
"And I'm not her sister. I'm her brother, B-R-O-T-H-E-R, Okay?" With that, he grabbed Thea's wrist once again and left the dark lane, leaving behind a dumbfounded policeman.
Thea tried to shake his hand off angrily.
"Hey brat, you're hurting me!"
Henry glared at her.
"You hurt me earlier, didn't you, dear sis?"
Thea frowned.
"Me? How so?"
"You hurt my man's pride. Nevermind though. I'll think that we are even now."
Thea rolled her eyes.
"Where are you taking me? Wilson uncle's waiting for me there." She claimed, looking around as they came out of the dark area. There were lots of street lights on the streets and she could even see people walking especially working out. Vehicles were going on the road, busily and hurriedly like a colony of ants.
"Call him and tell him to go back. I must take you to my dreamland, the place I'm dying to go."
Henry said firmly and mysteriously.
"I'm sure, you are gonna love it as well."
