Kyle stopped.
He looked at the little cat in front of him who sat obediently in front of the table, looking up at him. Her large blue eyes were crystal clear while her fluffy tail was swaying in slow motion.
She looked extremely cute and adorable, just like any normal beautiful cat.
But her eyes seemed to be able to see through any layer of thoughts. It was extremely clear and beautiful.
Looking behind her, Kyle could see that the table was prepared for two people and there was a pot of soup in the middle that was still steaming. The cutlery was also placed neatly, only lacking the people's presence.
The scene was warm and beautiful.
It struck Kyle deeply, invoking the memory he once had buried in the back of his mind. His eyes flickered slightly, suppressing the emotions within his heart that was about to break out.
Kyle opened his mouth, his voice somewhat hoarse, "I'm back."
Kate beamed happily.
