I thought, maybe my grandparents were still alive, or maybe some of my friends survived the massacre at the hotel, and maybe… Zeid, too. Though it's all just wishful thinking but yeah, if I could just go back—even if I don't know what will await me there."
The sprites' faces turned sullen, feeling sorry for what happened to Rania. They all sighed and bowed their heads as they flew towards her to hug and comfort her.
Luna touched Rania's hands, looking sad. "I'm afraid to say that the only friendly birds are just the small ones. The big ones would either eat you or toast you alive."
"... That's too bad then."
"Unless you can tame a dragon," another one remarked.
At these words, Rania's eyes widened.
"A dragon? There's a dragon in the forest?"
