Chapter Twenty-Five

Shadow one ran down a hallway rapidly leaving only after images in his wake as he made his way toward the destination.

Reaching a door he slipped inside before bowing to a person laboring over a desk.

Feng Qi was hard at work reading over confidential papers giving an off an aura well past his years. Seeing that Shadow returned his brows relaxed slightly and he put down the paper in his hand.

"She finally returned?" He asked calmly his eyes showing a slight interest.

"Yes your Majesty, Princess Meng returned just a few minutes ago."

"How was her reaction to the gift I left her?"

Shadow one loyally repeated exactly what he saw. "When Princess Meng noticed that her dolls were in ruins she nearly fainted away from depression. Her maid motivated her to come and seek justice from your highness."

"Well we certainly shouldn't keep a princess waiting should we?" A childish smile grew on Feng Qi's face as wickedness flashed in his eyes. Standing up he placed on an outer robe before walking toward the door.

Shadow one and the other 4 shadows were all left in shock when they saw Feng Qi's smile.

One had to know that their prince had been practically expresssionless every since the king and queen died (Falling Leaf Kingdom), but now he was even able to make this kind of childish face?

Shadow one felt relieved that Feng Qi was regaining his personality again, however at the same time he was extremely worried. The world that Feng Qi was in now was no place for kids and if he started getting comfortable he would surely get killed.

Shadow one felt a sense of foreboding come over his mind and quickly shook it off. His majesty was smart and surely would fall for the schemes of those people.

Su Lou marched angrily up the hallway with Meng in tow making Meng look at her weirdly.

She honestly didn't understand why the maid was so eager to follow along however.... she didn't even know the girl's name how could she understand her actions. she looked down at where the maid has grabbed her arm to make her walk quicker and her lips curled back with distaste.

The three things she hated most in this world were people controlling her, threatening her, and locking her up. Therefore, seeing that this idiotic maid was treating 'her' like an idiot... she really wanted to break that arm.

Thinking that she already killed enough maids for now, Meng held back her violent tendencies and tried to imagine a happier place. Her body relaxed as she remembered the first time Feng Qi beat up the ML in 'Defying Moonlight' and a cheerful smile came across her face.

Seeing the dim-witted girl smiling behind her Su Lou rolled her eyes as dissatisfaction built up inside of her. If she were born royal instead of this idiot she would probably be a earth level cultivator by now. However, because of bloodlines she was forced to serve this simpleminded fool.

She is royalty, yet she actually lets me pull her along like this? Isn't she too dumb?

Su Lou couldn't stop the rage building inside of her and she squeezed Meng's hand tighter. When she didn't see a reaction from Meng she got bolder and started to walk quicker while dragging Meng along.

Meng's face twisted... then went back to normal.. then twisted... then went back to normal. 'I'm not a villain! I'm a good person! I refuse to join the dark side!'

Meng's thoughts were scattered across her mind and her pupils started to shake. If glares could kill people than Su Lou would definitely already be burning in the underworld.
