Two Men 2

The bartender's wife had fallen gravely ill in a coarse of a couple months. Though their family wasn't dirt poor, the hospital bills only racked up from the time she was brought there.

Both the husband and wife worked nonstop to provide essentials for their five year old daughter. Losing one monthly income which would be normally stretched to the last penny to make ends meet and a growing hospital bill, the bartender had no choice but to find another way to earn money.

According to early sitings of him by security cameras in a alley way next to the bar, he was recruited one day before the drugging— a solid evidence that the incident was planned. What the bartender did was called "Kapit sa Patalim". In order to make a dent on the bills, he agreed to place a certain liquid in the drinks to make Luna too drunk to think and for her body to be in a 'heat' like phase.

Back to the present, after learning all of that from her private investigator, Luna felt remorse for the mother and daughter pair. Even though Luna would have wanted to punish the man in greater lengths, she thought otherwise for the sake of the child. Luna, being a "daddy's girl" herself would never be so heartless to a child.

A PARENT'S WRONGDOING IS NOT A WRONGDOING OF THEIR CHILD.

Meanwhile, in his own building, Lorenzo was contemplating on calling his wife. The past few days had been utter hell for him. His routine was wake up, go to work, go home. No time for dinner or even breakfast "dates" with Luna.

Both CEO's were too busy to entertain one another. If Lorenzo was able to come home early, Luna would be still in her office. Just like if Luna was able to escape her office to go home, Lorenzo was still swimming through papers.

So to make it up, Lorenzo was planning to make a little surprise for his lovely wife. Since they were both busy with work, why couldn't they take a weekend vacation. Leave the office for some needed relaxation. The only downside is that their respective assistants would be doing most of the left behind paper work. (^_^*)

As she was walking to leave her office for some fresh air from her stress inducing emotional roller coaster ride, Luna's cellphone suddenly rings. She answers the call immediately after seeing the caller ID. With a bright smile on her face, Luna greets the person on the other line.

"Good morning Lorenzo! What can I do for you?" She greets him while walking to the elevator with Dimitri still on her trail.

"I was hoping to invite you for a weekend trip. Are you free?" Lorenzo invites Luna while smiling like a fool who had just asked his crush out for coffee.

Hearing the ping of the elevator, Luna walks to the lobby thinking about Lorenzo's offer. It surely sounded tempting but she had just took a long vacation recently for her modeling catastrophe that thankfully died down when a highly paid actor was reportedly caught cheating on his wife. The scandal was so big that the whole world was talking about it, covering all the scandals before it.

The actor was reportedly cheating with his wife's cousin who was now pregnant, leading to an ongoing legal battle on child custodies, a pending divorce, and property ownership. Crazy! (＞人＜;)

"And where do you plan to take me?" She smirks as she enters the car while Dimitri silently starts driving.

"It's a surprise," Lorenzo's husky voice made Luna's head hurt. It was like she had heard it before. The question was, where? Pushing her headache aside. She happily replies, "I'll ready my bags."

Hearing that made Lorenzo jump in his joy, making his employee's eyes widen. "What is happening to our Big Boss?" all of them thought. "Make sure to bring a bathing suit! See you later Wifey!" Lorenzo ended the call and clear his throat which made everybody instantly get back to work. When he entered his office he broke down to his long awaited victory dance. His bright smile lasting until the end of the day. Making his employees silently thank their Big Boss's "Wifey" for putting him in his good mood today.

In his decent but not lavish office, Rafael received a sudden call. As he answered his phone, Rafael immediately fumed in anger. One of his hired henchmen could still not locate Luna's new place of living.

"I pay you so that you can do your job! If you can't do it then just tell me so that I can find a much more capable person!" Rafael throws his phone away in anger.

"You b*tch!" He sneered.

"You ruined my plans! You think I would leave you alone? You wait and see! I'll take everything from you while you can only watch in horror!" Holding a copy of her highly successful magazine cover, Rafael begins to rip in a part. His sinister laughter bouncing off the office walls.

Standing up, he takes a packet of cigarettes and lights one up. Breathing the death stick's smoke he kills the flare by pushing it down on Luna's smiling face.

"Your father's company will be mine... and nothing you can do will stop me" and with that he throws the whole magazine in the trash bin. Luna's picture obtaining a hole from the lit cigarette stick.

Not having a single clue on to what Rafael was planning to do, Luna was busy picking out some outfits for their weekend getaway.

For the pass few days, Lorenzo and Luna had been seeing each other less and less. Not being able to describe the feeling she has felt, Luna was in a mind boggle. Too eliminate the sudden aches of her heart, she decided to throw herself in the office and finish her job.

Being given the opportunity to have him by her side again makes her heart thump. A new feeling of joy that she had never felt before. It was like a cold drink on a sunny day. It felt like she was dying to be beside him.

Looking at her reflection, Luna's smile suddenly drops. "Why am I so happy?" She thought to herself. It's a simple vacation, but why does it feel like something else.

Shaking her head Luna smiles, "So what if I'm happy to have a vacation? I've most definitely earned it! Stop thinking of his face, Luna! We're picking outfits for ourselves not for contracted husbands."

Taking a deep breath, Luna takes her swim suit from their closet when a thought came to her head, making her smile bright. "It's not too late to buy one, the mall is still open!" Luna silently thought.
