5 I’m Losing My Mind!

The beating of my heart was quickly speeding up. This man's presence was too strong for me to handle. He just has this certain aura around him. It feels so cold, yet I am feeling comfort from it.

"I think there's too much air in the room! Your huge ego is filling the room up!" I shrieked.

This man and his big ego. He'd better do much better than just flirting with me. This girl ain't no flower any guy can just pick. I made the mistake once, hopefully never again.

"I'll consider your offer but I won't promise you anything. Don't get your hopes up high."

"I'm not, but I am very confident that you'll eventually agree. I'm willing to wait 3 days. If you agree, we'll register our marriage right away. If not, then we may have our separate ways — but surely you'd be smart enough to choose the right choice, right?" I stayed silent after his statement. What was the right choice? I may be a business tyrant but love is not my forte, just look at my past relationship — a disaster!

The silence was becoming suffocating, I just couldn't stand it anymore. And since his impeccable speech he has been back to his old cold self. Someone call the doctor for a case of Bipolar disorder, this man's mood swings are worse than a woman drunk on her period.

"You don't need to be cold as a block of ice, isn't it inhumane to be so cold?" I huffed.

With his attitude to me right now I don't think he and I can even be acquaintances, let alone a slim chance to get me to agree to his proposal. Yet his devilishly handsome face is such a waste! An eye candy with a bitter taste.

"Would you like me to be sweet?" he retorted. Did he just read my mind? A stupid smirk forming on his face. He suddenly stands up and stares right back at me. My heart stops as his face slowly nears mine. Realizing the situation, I immediately cover my mouth. This man is too preposterous! His loud laughter suddenly fills the quiet hospital room. "I'm no such man my love, I'll wait for your consent before I do such actions," he stops laughing and just smiles at me. My heart quickens again. This foreign feeling suddenly surging through me. Why does he have this effect on me? Wasn't I suppose to dislike him? Oh God! This might be the medication! Right! I'm just high! I'm never gonna marry this guy! He's too HIM! And besides, I was never the one to easily fall for a guy. The process would usually take months at least! Which also required having the guy in question to work his butt off in courting me, yet this annoying man in my hospital ward can just smile and make me forget my anger at him?

I'm definitely high! Or I must be losing my mind! Ahhhh! Luna! Get your thoughts together! You just met this guy for God's sake! How can I fall for a guy I've just met? It's utterly impossible!

"Hehehe, you look cute when you blush," he said while pinching my right cheek. I'm definitely flushed right now! Ahhh! As he was smiling at me the door was suddenly pushed wide open by non-other than my big mouthed best friend.

"I just got to know about your incident! Sorry I'm la— oh did I just miss something here? Wrong timing right? Hehehe, you guys continue. I'll wait outside!" She said rushing to go out.

"Gabi, please don't go. Nothing is happening."

"You sure? I can open my eyes now?" She said while her hands were blocking her eyes. This girl!

"Yes, we weren't doing anything. Now come here already," I said while she rushed to my side right away.

"Lorenzo this is Gabi, she's my friend," I introduced.

"I'll step out first so you two can talk," he said standing and walking out of the room. As Gabi was just plain gawking at the man she immediately smiled to me. Oh I know that smile all to well.

"Lorenzo, huh?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows.

"It's not what you're thinking, so shut it! This is not the time to speak of such trivial things. I hope my father hasn't heard about this incident?" I asked rising my eyebrow.

"About that — Imighthavecalledhimandheisnowonhiswayhere," she spoke so fast I didn't understand a word.

"You spoke to fast, say it slower."

"I said, I might have called him and he is now on his way here. I'm sorry," she clarified.

"What! Oh God! My father can't see me like this! Sh*t! What am I gonna do? He still doesn't know what happened with Rafael! He can't know you understand! So better shut it, you understand! He has to be in the dark so I can execute my plans,"

"So you really had no plans to tell me about Rafael, huh?" The person who we didn't notice enter said looking at me dead in the eye.

Well, sh*t just hit the fan. Gabi you are so gonna get it!
