"...A young lady looking for a ride? May I ask you what you are doing in this crowded place?" someone asked from behind. I turned around and flinched when I saw them.

Standing right in front of me was a young handsome man, and Lord Thornburg. I froze. And so did Lord Thornburg. He stood there with the most stupidest face ever. While he did that- I internally screamed inside my head.

Holy Shit! WHY is this person here??

"W-w-what are you d-doing here?" Thornburg asked me calmly yet cautiously with a frown on his face. I too, asked the question inside my head, while weeping mentally.

The young man next to him switched a look at him and asked Thornburg, "William? You know this Young Lady?"

William Thornburg stared me down from top to bottom and then scoffed at his friend, "How could I not know? She is the most famous beggar in town,"

My eyes felt like grappling down. Beggar??! But instead of having a stupid reaction, I had on an awkward reaction and then said:

"Hahaha... Thornburg- I mean- Lord William Thornburg- a pleasure to see you," I say bitterly. But at least he played his part well. Not a traitor. Thornburg raised his eyebrows at me as I realized what I missed. I flinched and then quickly did a curtsy.

The young man beside of Thornburg blinked twice as he stared at me. Unlike Thornburg, he had a sincere face. He smiled and politely said:

"Now, now William, you shouldn't call anyone a beggar," he scolded William Thornburg politely. Willaim raised his eyes at me and then stifled a laugh at me. HEY! I saw that! And that Young man was right! I am not a beggar!

I stopped myself from frowning or retorting back.

"Young Lady- are you friends with William?" the sincere kind man asked me. I plastered a smile on my face and said:

"I-uh- not really... how could I... a mere commoner girl... dare to know Lord Duke William Thornburg??" I acted.

I paused and snuck a glance at William, who was busily studying my clothes. He had this weird smug look on his face as he watched me act. My face started flushing. I seriously wanted to slap this guy!! Was the slapback not good at the Tea Party?? Wait, Thornburg. Just you wait. But at least this a**hole could lie for me. I guess that's a good sign.

"Well, do you want a ride?" the young man said. I sighed and looked at him. Unlike this douche bag of an asshole William- this Young Man was way for favorable! Hmph!

Judging from his clothing... he must be from a powerful Noble Family. But where?

I did a small smile and said: "Sorry, I am in a hurry! I need to borrow a carriage quick! I have an important task..." I say putting up a flustered act. "If you are-"

"No, go ahead..." the Young man said. I froze. HUH? Is this Nobleman offering me a ride?? HUH?

I stared at him stupidly and then retracted my gaze into a ladylike mode and then said:

"Sir??? I-?"

"No, if you have important affairs, then go ahead- Lord William Thornburg and I will wait until this carriage will come back," the Young man said.

I frowned. Then Willaim Thornburg started frowning.

"Hmm...Go ahead, Young Lady," he started judging the situation and then looked straight into my eyes that said: 'what the hell do you think you are doing here???' Then he offered me a creepy and calm smile he usually gives to other young ladies.

This creep made me shiver down my spine.

"...Please," the Young man said as he opened the door for the carriage. The young man had a pair of cobalt purple eyes and shiny silver-like hair. He seemed to look familiar? The more I stared into his beautiful pair of cobalt purple eyes, the more I felt flushed.

'Bellrose! A Young engaged woman shouldn't have these thoughts!' A strict version of me yelled at my head.

"Thank you, sir!" I say as I respectfully bowed and then entered the carriage. Soon the Young man explained everything to the coachman.

Soon the door closed and the coach headed off, leaving the two figures behind in a distance. I felt a dark fury underneath me. Who was that young man?? And why doesn't he seem familiar? He seems to be a Noble. A Higher Rank. A marquess? Maybe?

Also friends with Lord Thornburg? This friend of his... seems suspicious. And the problem is...

WHY DID WILLIAM THORNBURG HAVE TO BE HERE OUT OF ALL OF THE PLACES? What if he tells my father? Or the King? Or maybe the Crown Prince???

No... I cannot let anyone know I am doing sneaky business. Meeting with the Myers family is already sneaky. But the Myers family might compete with the Thornburg family at the Merchandise Network Stocks. Better watch out.

Judging from what he saw, he was pretty smart to have shut up on the information... Phew!

"Young Miss, where do you want to go?" the Coachman asked me.
