Chapter 37 : Music
*Beth’s POV*
“Uh, hi,” I said to Rylan’s parents, unsure what else to say.
I could tell just by their expressions that they were pissed. His parents were attractive, but the frowns on their faces made them ugly. Even before they said a word, I hated them. I’d witnessed Rylan’s past firsthand, and I couldn't fathom how they could let it happen to their son.
“There you are!” Rylan’s father yelled.
“Charlie and Lola,” Daniel nodded in greeting.
I could tell Daniel was doing his best not to lose his cool. It was obvious that Daniel didn’t like Rylan’s parents. His hands were shaking, and he was trying to control the monster inside himself. I grabbed his hand as a warning. Even though I was sure Rylan didn’t like his parents, I didn’t think he would be happy if Daniel killed them by drinking their blood.
