Chapter 29 : A Helping Hand

*Beth’s POV*

I didn’t give much thought to the gossip magazines with my face plastered all over the cover. It didn’t matter that much to me how the general public perceived me. Rylan said he was sorry for dragging me into this celebrity nonsense, but I told him an apology wasn’t necessary. I had bigger, more important things on my mind.

School was becoming overwhelming. Secretly, I was thankful for not having to cook for the boys anymore because I didn’t have time to do much else because of my coursework. Medical school was slowly becoming my life, and I fell behind in my classes. No matter how much I worked, I couldn’t even draw blood from someone properly.
