THREE IN THE MORNING

Still gasping for air after running nonstop all around the bridge, the five girls arrived on the other side of the river, still anxious and even more anxious as they noticed that all of the cars parked beside the church were gone.

"What the… Where are the cars?" Liera ran towards the empty parking space and turned around, looking for something.

"No… this can't be.." Dennise pressed her head. The headache must have formed after discerning that they might be about to open another can of worms again.

"Shit, does this mean that they already left? But, I don't think we arrived late." Zara took another deep breath after a deep breath as her face creased, with the look of someone who was about to break out again.

Ella, without saying another word, just went up to Zara and caressed her back. "Calm down," she muttered to her before she shifted her attention to the other girls. "Girls, just calm down, please. We will never know what really happened if we will just stay here. Let's just go to the site, to the river, the bank. Who knows someone was still there waiting for us." As optimistic as always, Ella left up the other girl's spirit.

"Si, Ella is right. Let's just have to get going." Yden walks ahead towards the back of the church and exits towards the river.

With the first sight of the girl that came out of the footpath to the riverbank, Yden then followed by Leira and Dennise, and Ella and Zara were seen by the two girls who had been waiting for them. The sound of happy applause was heard from the two girls as the five of them walk towards them. The smiles of mixed relief, excitement, happiness and worries were painted on their faces.

"Congratulations, you are the second group that has finally completed today's task. You passed the first part of the process to be in the sisterhood. And because of that, you will be invited to the weekend party, which will be this Sunday night. That party will be to recognize your success with the first process." So the MI said, but her words were giving Yden more questions than answers.

"Wait, does that mean we passed the initiation process, and that party will already be the time for us to pledge? Como, it means we are already part of the sisterhood?" Yden asked her hands to keep moving with her confused facial reaction. Like she was having a hard time explaining her question. She even used some Spanish words to go on with her explanation.I just mentioned that this is the first process of your initiation. And, with that, you can expect a more exciting, enjoyable, and even nerve-racking night with us," a little villainous chuckle went out from MI's mouth before she and the other MI girl cracked a loud guffaw after they noticed the girls glancing with nervous looks towards each other.

"Don't take it seriously, girls, and we also promise you more and unending fun forever if you can make it to the final initiation. Everything that your heart desires will be yours, everything you love, you will have it forever." She continued and twitched a bit of her pouted lips, just like seducing them on something.

Zara smiled with her blanked eyes as if she was being entranced. "Zandro," she muttered. Ella looked at her with a furrowed brow. However, she still ignored her reaction.

Then Ella remembered what Zara had mentioned before about the boy she liked. She even said that the sorority would help her have him. That was her main purpose in joining the sorority. Although Ella doubted and couldn't believe that it's possible, she didn't say a word against Zara. Because this time, it seemed the situation had shifted. It was her who didn't want Zara to quit anymore. She realized that she needed the sorority more than she can even think of. She needs the scholarship, the free boarding. That doesn't only helped her with her study but also mean that she will have more time in the City and more time to find her lost brother and aunt.

"Okay, you can take your clothes now, girls, and go home. We will be expecting you this Sunday, don't forget to be there after dusk!" The MI said before she rode in the bike, the other girl was riding with her.

They all left in agape, looking at each other.

"Did they just say that we will be going home without a car?" Dennise, with her mouth, still open wide in confusion and dismay.

"Just leave it. I will just call our family driver to pick us up." Leira picked Denise's dress on the ground and held it to her. The MI just didn't care much about putting their dresses in a much cleaner place, instead of in the dirt with even a little mud in it.

Dennise holds her dress with a fingertip. At the same time, she winced in disgust after seeing some stains of mud in it.

"Damn it. It's like three in the morning. My mom and dad will be like... kill me when I get home." Zara blurted.

"Wait, are you worried? I thought you used to be out late at night and do parties. Your parents probably have gotten used to it." Ella remarked, putting out words in Zara's mouth. First, however, she tilted her head a bit, observing Zara's reaction, then she squinted her eyes, thinking of something suspicious.

Zara stood straighter when she replied, she looked away avoiding Ella's gaze while smiling faintly. "Yeah, of course, they won't mind it. They're used to it. It's just like, I will be disturbing them when I open the door"

Ella's brows furrowed more, she's not that content on Zara's reason. Yet, there's nothing actually serious about it, so she just shrugs it off.

Each of them started dressing up when Ella's phone rang. She abruptly looked for her bag which was still on the ground and picked it up. While taking the phone out, the name of Dane was flashing on the screen.
