Witch's riddles

Ch-16

Adira still feels scared watching this tower. She came here two times and this is the third time. People say the great witch personally delivered her. Even her mother says that. But for some reason, she felt there was something more to it.

Witches generally weren't that helping in nature. And they never help a person with a delivery. If they delivered a child then it means they took a word from the mother of the child in return.

Adira was always had been wary of this witch. Both times she met this witch she always felt something was off with her. But she never thought about it further.

Adira and everyone stood in front of the witch tower's gate. Just then a crow flew and landed on the ground. In seconds, the bird turned into a fine woman with a curvaceous body with black raven hair dressed in a black satin dress. Lenora's eyes widened for a second but recovered quickly.

Eudora was surprised too. All the vampires showed an astonished expressions on their faces. But this was a witch's tower, which means these were common.

"Lady Serene," the women greeted.

"Lady Serene of the Kingdome Elisaveta and my peers along with the Lady Eudora of Kingdom Valorine along with her peers came to meet the Great Witch with the brides and grooms," Serene said.

The woman eyed everyone in the group before returning her gaze to Serene. She nodded her head and left.

Adira noticed this oddly familiar yet unfamiliar tower again. The tower was dark brownish-black in color. The walls were very high that one couldn't see or able to climb them.

There were two devil statues on either side of the walls scaring the people away. Those devils were holding two lamps in their hands with evil expressions on their faces.

The gates were too big which made Adira wonder if there was any refined blacksmith who could carve these enormous gates. Because the gate is made of iron fifteen feet high and twenty feet wide. It's not the height that surprised her but the thickness. It was as thick as four feet. One could make six to eight gates with that iron.

She came out of her thoughts when the gates of the tower opened. Lifting her leg, she entered the tower. She saw there was a fountain in the form of a tree. As she looked closer she realized it is not a fountain but a tree which was like a fountain. Was this magic?

Probably. It shall. If not… how could a tree release a fountain. She felt having magics was something good for the first time in her life. She can remodel her chambers and the palace the way she wanted. Adira turned her attention to her left. Apart from the walking path, everything was covered in green.

She knew Witches were connected with nature. And all they do was raise different kinds of herbs for medicines. She always saw this tower from the outside but never entered this. Both the times she met the witch, it's the witch who personally visited her in her chambers not Adira visiting the tower.

Whenever she left the castle she watched this tower from outside. She was always curious to see what kind of place the tower is. Now she could say, the tower was extremely beautiful at least on the outside. She didn't know what the inner side of the tower was like.

As they walked further, Adira tried to notice every single detail fo this place. Because she liked things with green, particularly places with plants.

Soon, they entered the inside of the tower.

It's not like Adira imagined. It was not gloomy, dark, or filled with full of dust but instead was beautiful. The tower has wide windows from the south side of the walls. And the ceiling was open to allow the sunlight to enter the tower but could see a protective layer on the ceiling and the windows.

The tower has three floors. The ground floor was filled with plants. And the middle part has a couch made or she must say it is not a couch but a swing or a couch swinging. She doesn't know how to name this thing. The couch was hanging like a swing. She wondered if this could be tough, if not if it breaks it will bring back pain. She wanted one like this too.

The woman who appeared near the gate led them to the first floor. There she saw there were many rooms in it. They were all guided to one of the rooms.

Adira and the rest entered a room. It was lighted brightly… brightly means… too brightly to the point they were blinded by the brightness. Werewolves can adjust their vision to the brightness but not the vampires.

It was a surprise that these vampires weren't affected by this brightness and sunlight. She wondered if the witch did some kind of spell to protect them.

"Your daughter has too many thoughts," Adira heard a womanly voice that made her legs feel like jelly. The voice felt like music to her ears making her hypnotized.

"She does," Adira heard her mother's voice only then did she realize what just happened.

"I cast a spell, My Dear. I guess it clears your very first doubt," she heard the same hypnotic voice saying.

'Where is she?' Adira wondered.

"Here," the witch said appearing in front of Adira.

"I am Elphaba Glory from Glory witch line," the witch introduced herself to the Vampires.

Her voice held a hypnotic touch that made Adira's legs jelly and her mind mushy. She wondered if its only her case or everyones.

"Looks like there is another witch too here," Elphaba said as she eyed Ophelia.

"Vampire yet Witch. Such a rare specie," Elphaba said with a raised brow.

"I am turned into a Vampire but the Great Emperor Azazel Laroch used some spells to keep me allow while being both," Ophelia said.

She got instructions from that person already to not mess with Elphaba. And she didn't dare. Because Glory line witches were someone who couldn't be messed with.

"At least, you know how to be honest," Elphaba said with a snort as she walked to her chair and sat there in a most unladylike way.

Elphaba was a beautiful woman. She has sharp features. Pointy nose, pointy chin, soft luscious red hair, skin as soft and smooth and white as milk, beautiful crescent shape eyes, plump lips, and her demeanor made her look very beautiful. Even as a woman Adira felt attracted to the witch. She batted her eyes at her dazedly as she watched the beautiful woman do the things in a most unladylike way. But those things didn't make her any less beautiful but more beautiful. Adira came into reality when she heard her voice. If only she was a man, maybe she could have a chance to get this beauty. A woman like her was worth being battled and fighting. Men will line up for her to marry only if they get to see her. Such a shame… she sighed softly.

"Their marriages can be held on the full moon day. Which was a month later as the last full moon day was three days ago," Elphaba said.

"Lenora Serafina Valorine," Elphaba called as she looked at Lenora. She shifted her leg in a way that made her dress ride up above her ankle. Naturally, a woman wouldn't let anybody see at least a bit of her skin but Elphaba let them.

"Truths… they were hidden for enough time. Nature will help you in uncovering them. But finding truths can be fatal not for you but for the people you care about. Careful yet don't stop. Fated or not, being with him is nature's course. Don't let anyone crack it," Elphaba said.

"You are walking in the right way. Don't let the things that came to you slip away if you let them… then it can destroy the entire world. Trust nobody but yourself. Even your shadow can walk and talk at times," Elphaba added looking at Lenora.

Lenora couldn't understand her words. Because many truths were with Lenora. Before she could say or ask something she was interrupted by her again. Seeing others' expressions, Lenora guessed nobody heard the witch's words except her. She stepped back and stood beside Eudora.

"Adira Elisaveta," Elphaba called.

Adira walked and stood infront of everyone as she waited for her to finish talking.

"Soon… Sun cannot peek into your chambers like before. You won't be in the lotus pond but the red rose garden full of thorns. Yet Red roses are a symbol of love, if you are smart and genuine you will find precious treasures like love and more. If not king of darkness awaits your arrival.

"The rose garden not only has thorns but also black roses and hidden roses. Beware of them. When you find hidden roses… the purpose of your life will b unveiled. Yet there is a dead tree which was trying to gain life with you, don't let it get to you. If it gets to you there will be no rose garden or lotus pond. Careful, be smart, and trust nobody but you," the witch said.

Adira was in shock when she heard her words. She didn't understand anything.

But others heard her too… what if they figure out this woman's words and try to harm her? She looked worried now.

"No one can hear my words apart from you and me," the witch said to Adira making her sigh in relief.

"And it's the same for Lenora too," she added. Adira nodded and stepped.
