Adira and Zaros were walking back to their chambers.
Adira was surprised to see him apologizing. Because she didn't expect that from Zaros. To begin with, he was a very proud person. He would never bend his head for anyone or everyone just because he was wrong.
Now he did it for her suffering. She was in a predicament about him. Adira doesn't know if she has to be happy or sad.
Everybody can say he was apologizing for her in the courtroom.
Was he really serious about her?
She doesn't know. He was a confusing man. But today... she had a different opinion on him. He seemed sincere and serious with the words he said.
He didn't blame anyone and even tried to flirt with her!
This man! Place, time and the situation would never matter to him! He was always in 'I-am-in-a-simp-mode'! Hmph!
She needs to teach him a lesson. This will not be good. Only she knew how embarrassed she was back then.
"I know I am handsome, but you no need to stare that long at me. You can do all the staring after we get into our chambers. I will even strip if you want," he said with a wink. A boyish grin was hanging on his lips.
"Shut up! No one is looking at you! You are imagining things!" she yelled in his ears with a glare. she looked like a cat while she glared at him.
"My little cat, have I ever said you look beautiful? Such a pity our first day isn't fixed yet," he said as he shook his head.
"You are a pervert," she glared at him.
"Yeah. Only with you," he said with a smirk again that stole her heartbeat again.
"I will tell to a mother-in-law that you are teasing me," she said as a blush crept on her face. She looked like a ripe tomato that made him want to bite her.
"Go ahead. Tell her, she will be happy with that," he said with a smile, making her stomp her leg in annoyance. She walked ahead leaving her alone huffing and puffing.
Seeing her leave, the smile on his face disappeared as he took a different route and entered a room.
Zaros changed his walking direction and entered a closed way. There he saw a crow waiting for him already with a note tied to its leg.
Taking it out, he read it carefully. His hands clenched into fists the moment he finished reading it. His jaw ticked in anger and annoyance. He took out the note he already wanted to send and tied it back to its leg. The crow flew away after it was connected with the piece of thing she was supposed to carry.
Meanwhile….
Adira reached her chambers still thinking about the words her husband whispered in her ears.
He wanted it! He wanted it! He wanted it!
She screamed in her mind. Adira felt like her world was going to burst out at the happiness she was receiving right now. Her world started spinning when she realized what was happening to her.
But soon she recovered her brain from those sinful thoughts.
[But they are good to think about.] Leina popped into her brain as she started to have her conversation with her host.
[Shut up!] Lenora yelled at her.
[Even I want to do that with him.] Leina said with a pout.
[Just shut up, Leina! If you don't then I will lock you for a night!] Adira warned her.
[You are just as perverted as me. I say it out loud, but you don't.] Leina said before disappearing.
Adira closed her eyes and sprawled her four limbs on the bed lazily.
Her mind was floating in different directions. He seemed to change a lot. After his apology, she unconsciously started seeing him in a different light.
Maybe… This was the fresh and real start of their stories. She doesn't know what the future holds for her. But now… at this moment… She wanted to give it a try to their relationship.
Everyone deserves a second chance. And even Zaros deserves one.
She hoped this second chance was worth the try. She prayed to be one. After all, as a creature, she doesn't want to be stuck in a situation with a loveless marriage.
She thought about many things before falling into a deep slumber.
By the time she woke up, it was already dinner time. She didn't see her husband returning to their chambers.
Yawning, she groggily sat up with her bed hair, crumpled dress, and with her dazed look. Everything about it screamed that she woke up from a good nap.
Just then she saw her husband coming out of the bathroom, naked. Her brain got short-circuited at the sinful sight in front of her. She forgot to blink, or move. Adira felt like she was in a trance looking at him in a sinfully handsome way.
Oh, God! Invisible fumes were coming out of her ears and head. She gulped softly at the godly sexy posture of her husband.
His pale body, sexy lips, sculpted abs, and his red lips. Uff… damn! He was a factory for heat. He stood in front of her like a walking example of literal sexiness. The whole chamber was now filled with invisible fumes that were emitted from her head.
It felt like she had no plans of moving her eyes from his body.
Zaros felt like someone's gaze could burn a hole in his body. When he turned around, he noticed that his sleeping beauty woke up from her deep slumber and was gazing at him like a statue.
He smirked looking at her state. She looked cute with her bed hair, crumpled clothes, and a dazed expression. He was too glad that she was like this for him and was drooling on him.
Walking towards her, he bent his head and whispered something in her ear. She blushed immediately like a tomato making him want to bite her.
