She was done playing well and acting like a scholar while spinning the words around the people. She always made people guess the meaning behind her words. People even said that her words contain at least four to five meanings and trying to predict the actual meaning behind her words was as equal to impossibility.

"I got to know you are innocent," he said.

"How? Did you find something? Or are you investigating it?" Lenora asked curiously. She was genuinely curious about it. She wants to if he found any connection or evidence about her death.

"Because I heard you saying that you didn't kill Victoria," he said.

Lenora burst out into a peal of laughter. Even tears started to form in the corner of her eyes due to her laughing.

"My Lord, you are very funny. You didn't believe me when I said the same thing two years ago but you are believing now. How do you want me to believe it?" Lenora asked him making his face turn ashen.

"Fine, let's say you believe me. Why now? Why not before?" she asked looking straight into his eyes.

His eyes held a shocked expression at her questions. He never thought his sister would turn out like this. She wasn't loving like before. She was too cold and was being straightforward. Lenora being this way wasn't giving him good vibes.

"I am trying to find. I found a ring in that place during that time. I thought it was yours because I once saw you wearing it. I kept it to myself to not put you in the hot soup in front of the public. When I heard your conversation with Celine, I went back and checked the ring. When I opened the safe and saw it again, the ring changed its color. I realized… it's a magical ring that is used to make you the culprit.

"That's when I realized I was wrong. From then I am trying to make up things for you. I want to acquire this kingdom and then make everyone work under you and will give you slaves. Nobody deserves these two kingdoms apart from you!

"I will win it for you," Zaros said as he held her hands.

"My Lord, Did I tell you that I want these two kingdoms?" Lenora asked.

"Lenny, just stop calling me 'My Lord! For god sake! I am your brother!" he yelled in frustration.

"Two years ago, nobody gave me a chance to explain myself to prove my innocence. Nobody even looked at me when I begged you all to give me one damned chance! Everyone turned a deaf ear to my words.

"Since you found the evidence now, you believe me? What if the ring didn't lose its magic? What if the magic was a lifetime one? Then wouldn't I be a culprit all the time? I wouldn't have been able to wash my hands of this murder. I am a victim too. Why didn't you believe me then? Why did you believe me now?" she asked desperately.

Lenora could no longer control her emotions. Vampires were said to have their emotions under control but she couldn't. She was getting her feelings into her head clouding her thoughts and sense of decision.

"Lenny, I am feeling guilty from the start. A part of me never wanted to accept that you are not guilty. Just like you, I was desperate to find the culprit at that time. When I saw all the evidence pointing to you. I couldn't think properly. All my thoughts went awry.

"I agreed with everyone. I became a part of everyone. I am blinded with grievance and dumbness. I started believing before giving the verdict. And I believed at the point. I searched for the whole situation but never found a clue. I even forgot about the ring that I found here.

"During the crowning ceremony, I remembered it. Everything burned along with Clara. But her ring remained the same. So, I went back and searched. Then their rings are the same. That's when I realized," he said.

"I want those rings," Lenora said right after he was done talking.

"Fine. So can we go back to the life we have previously?" he asked desperately.

"Huh? Hahaha…" Lenora laughed again, making him confused again.

"I wish Celine is here so that I could share this joke," Lenora said as she laughed further.

"My Lord, when did you start cracking these many jokes?" Lenora asked.

"Lenny, Don't test my patience," Zaros said feeling annoyed.

He agrees that he was wrong in her case. But wasn't he trying to solve it? She has to understand him since he was a king. He has many responsibilities to do and solve. In a moment of weakness, he took an abnormal decision that affected her in many ways. And it affected him in many ways too.

Wasn't he regretting now?

Why does she need to pinpoint everything?

Why does she need to question him for everything?

He was trying to help her!

Why the hell she can't understand it!?

Zaros was trying his best to make up to her. He even used that dumb woman to help him. But she was just a stubborn muse. And now Lenora was accusing him of things that he wanted to forget.

Why can't she understand that he doesn't want to bring those things?

Why was his sister so annoying today?

He wanted to meet her to catch up with things. But looks like she doesn't want to.

"My Lord, I am not testing anyone's patience. You are testing my patience in fact," Lenora said.

"Why is it a problem for you to get back with the things?" Zaros asked.

"It's not a problem. But you can't expect me to get back to you just because you realized you are wrong," Lenora said as she broke the pot.

Just because he was regretting, things won't turn right. Regretting is different from making things right! She wished he understood these things.
