"Yes, it is. Not just daylight but it should be way past noon. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get you the herbs if there aren't any in the kitchen."

"It is fine," she replied. "I am sure the broth should do the trick."

Kieran smiled at her and turned to Jael. "We can try to cool her temperature down. I'll ask a servant to bring a bowl of water and a piece of rag. Gently wiping her forehead and around her neck should do the trick."

"No," Mauve groaned, "I don't want that."

"You'll have to bear it," Jael replied.

"I don't think you should get any hotter than you already are so you might not need wiping for too long."

"Though it is scary that your temperature is this high this fast. Did you feel odd before today?"
