"We should take it off," Mauve said. Her expression held relief, the dress was already too much for her.
"What?" Mill blinked, looking confused. Take what off?"
"This!" Mauve replied, pointing to the dress.
"Absolutely not! It's perfect. It's just missing a little something. If only we had some jewelry it would be perfect. The ones here won't suit it. A ruby necklace would be nice."
Mill's eyes glimmered as she explained. Her enthusiasm was a little horrifying to Mauve. She didn't understand why Mill was willing to be so ceremonial about this.
Mauve looked at her with mouth agape. "Won't that be too much red?"
"Absolutely not! A simple necklace with a ruby pendant. Of course not. It would fit perfectly with your dress. Not to mention it might be more distracting than…"
"Mill!" Mauve called out in horror, she didn't want to think about what Mill was insinuating.
