The family kiosk

Chapter three

It was already seven at night and parents would probably be pissed I didn't call them.

I tried to open the front door as quiet as possible and started walking to the kitchen.

"Hey!"

I jumped and turned around and saw my entire family in the living room starting at me.

"Where the hell have you been, we thought you got kidnapped or something. "

My mom started yelling

"Yeah you couldn't tell us where you were?"

I was scared of their looks but felt glad that my family cared about me.

"I'm sorry mom I forgot my phone and went over to a friends house we got carried away. " I tried to look serious

"Brother do you even have friends?" My sister said in a voice that sounded doubtful.

"Now now Abigail don't be rude to your brother. "

My mothers name was Sarah and my sisters name was Abigail.

My fathers name was Chris and my brothers name was Tyler

"I do have friends and they just don't come over" I said

"Abel you need to call your mother and I before doing something like this again. " my dad said

"Now since this is the first time you've been out late, we'll let you off but from now on you need to tell us if your gonna be out this late, we almost called the cops. "

"Okay, father I understand. "

"Good, now go clean up, your clothes look like they were dragged through mud and torn by an animal, what the hell were y'all doing anyway?"

"Cough, uhh, just messing around and stuff in the dirt. "

"Alright I'm gonna go to my room I'm kinda tired. "

"Uhhhh, guys is it just me or does Abel look taller?" My brother Tyler said

They all looked at me weird and then they realized my height had changed dramatically.

"What the heck happened Abel you grew so much?" They all started talking like crazy

"Cough, actually I've been growing a while now it was just in short increments so you didn't realize. "

I tried to bullshit my way through this one.

"Hmm, I didn't even realize. Abel, honey you need to tell me stuff like this in the future," my mother said somehow convinced.

"I will go to the store tomorrow to get you more clothes that fit you now. "

"Thanks mother. "

I quickly ran up the stairs and to my room before my family could even realize anything else that might have changed. I was scared they might guess I was a vampire somehow.

"Jesus, does my room really smell this bad. "

Now that I'm a vampire my smelling must be amazing but this is horrible.

I look around room and saw the dirty clothes all around, the day old food I left out was also smelling terrible.

"Guess I need to clean really bad. "

I cleaned up my entire room really quick and got it smelling normal again.

I also went to the kitchen to look at the food in the fridge but my body wouldn't eat it, even when I was staring at it, it didn't look very appetizing almost like staring at Blood for humans it was kinda nauseating.

I realized I would need to work on eating human food again to blend in.

I wanted to go to sleep so I could wake up early tomorrow and skip school so I could find a place to set up my new territory.

As I pulled off my shirt my jaw dropped as I saw myself in the mirror. My arms were lean and I had eight pack of abs. My face had become smooth and my jaw was chiseled, and my eyes had a golden look to them.

I looked completely different now that I was a vampire and I hadn't really even gained any strength yet.

"Holy crap, how different will I look when I actually start to gain strength, will I have a sixteen pack of abs?"

I started daydreaming about my sixteen pack

"Whatever, I still look skinny and I'm still not as strong as most top football players since I don't really know how to use my strength. "

"My stamina has event up a lot though. "

I laid down in my bed to try and fall asleep but I realized it was to quiet.

Way to quiet.

"WHAT"

"Where is my heartbeat!"

I tried hearing and feeling for my heartbeat and realized that my heart didn't even beat anymore

"This is bad, what if I need to go to the hospital or what if someone finds out. "

I started freaking out wondering what I would do

"Wait, I wonder what those other families do for this situation?"

"Yeah, theirs gotta be a solution. "

I tried to fall back asleep but my mind wouldn't stop racing.

"Wait do vampires even sleep?"

I couldn't sleep and felt like I had to much energy so I was wondering if vampires even sleep at night.

"Alright, screw it, I can't sleep I'm gonna sneak out and find an area to set up my kiosk. "

I left a note on my door saying I went to school early so my parents weren't freaked out when I didn't come out in the morning.

I jumped out my window and landed with ease which was amazing to me since the window was fifteen feet off the ground.

"Wow it's nice being able to do this stuff. "

"I feel like a ninja. "

"Alright think, we're should I set up my beginner kiosk. "

"I don't have any money so it needs to be free and secretive. "

I was trying to think of a dark place and a place no one went to.

"Ohh, I have a place but do I really need to set up in this place it's gonna be kinda shitty,literally. "

I found the street manhole that was in the road right next to my house and pulled it up with ease, I quickly jumped down into the sewers and put the cover back on.

"Hah, I guess I will make my territory somewhere in this underground sewer. "

"What a disgrace to my natural beauty. " I said trying to get the smell of shit out of my strong nose.

I started sprinting down the sewer tunnels with ease even though it was pitch black.

I kept running until I found a really big empty room that looked like it might have been some kind of old bunker long ago.

It was at least the size of half a football field which was pretty big.

"I just need to add some kinda door to block people from getting in to easy and make this place look and smell better and I can start the kiosk. "

I quickly started cleaning this place up, getting rid of the bugs and spider webs along with the smell of underground sewage.

Clap. I brushed my hands off

"Finally done, this place is actually looking like a secret bat cave. "

I looked at the big room that was completely empty and clean.

"Alright let's set the kiosk. "

"System, set kiosk in location. "

Ding! "Checking requirements"…

Ding! "Requirements met"… "setting beginner kiosk. "…

Ding! "Complete"

I looked at the red and black looking kiosk that looked kinda small like what you would expect from a small beginner item.

The kiosk screen at some nee functions and tabs that I need saw before but their was one thing that kept flashing so I clicked it.

"Hmmm, what name should my family be. "

"It obviously needs to be amazing and glorious showing my families prowess. "

"Cough, my future prowess " I said embarrassed

"My family name will be Hades"

"yes a somewhat generic name but still a good representation of my family, the gods of death. "

"Ahashahahaha" I started laughing crazily trying to sound like those super villains in the movies but it only sounded hella creepy especially when it was in a dark ass sewer.

"Cough, yes, system put in family name as Hades."

I was so excited I could barely wait.
