The Vampire and the Boy

I had just finished dying my hair a darker purple so my hands had hair dye on them. I looked at where my reflection should be in the mirror if I had one. I sighed and started washing my hands, closing my purple eyes. When I was done washing my hands I opened my eyes and walked out of my bathroom to my bedroom.

I sigh and say, "Let's see… I had blood this morning so I should need it in like thirty minutes." I look around my black and gray room, there are hints of purple and neon light blue. I smile slightly, hiding my fangs. "Tomorrow is my first day back to school after the sunburn incident, damn can't believe it's been three years since that happened. Well at least this will be my last year going to high school." I say excitedly. I then go to the living room where my dad sits on the couch watching tv.

My dad looks up and says, "What is it you want you freak? If you want blood go get it from someone else or you can try to drink my blood and die." I say nothing and just head into the kitchen, opening the once hidden blood cooler. I grab a pouch of blood and head back to my room, before I reach my room dad says, "Ick, you damn vampires are disgusting, how you drink that stuff I will never know. Freak…"

I ignore him and enter my room, closing the door behind me. I put the pouch of blood in my mini fridge and sat down on my bed. My black cat, Midnight, jumps up onto my bed and I pet him. "Hey buddy, you miss mom too huh?" I say, seeing that he has one of mom's scarves in his mouth.

"Meow!" Midnight mewed, rubbing his head against my arm. I pet Midnight for a few minutes.

I then laid back on my bed and stared up at the star covered ceiling. "Hey, Midnight? Do you think I should tell someone about what I saw the day mom died?" I ask my cat, mostly because I have no friends.

"Meow mew meow meow mew." Midnight says and I laugh. People think it's weird to be able to understand your cat but when you can hear things most people can't well you start to learn a lot of cool new things like understanding cats. People also think that cats don't care whenever you talk to them, they say that a cat's brain is as small as a peanut. Well I can prove them wrong. My cat understands what I tell him, he obeys my commands and he never gets into trouble.

"Yeah, your right, I would probably have to explain what I am and what my mother was before I could even say what I saw that night." I say, petting Midnight and finally falling asleep.
