Chapter 46: New Hire
“Logan!” Trix burst into the door of the Victorian home with Gwen’s hand in hers.
She rushed through the house, causing the other woman’s feet to have to keep up.
“Hang on!” Gwen tried to grab the frantic woman’s attention to no avail. “Trix...”
“Logan,” Trix shouted and watched him step out of the gym with a white towel draped on his shoulders and his damp, dark, hair hanging in his face.
Gwen’s eyes ran over his body, taking in every precise, swollen, muscle and the way his gray sweatpants left little to the imagination. She swallowed hard as her mouth ran dry at the sight of him.
“What?” Logan held the ends of the towel and raised one side to wipe the sweat from his brow.
“Gwen has the ability!” Trix shoved her towards Logan, making Gwen stumble into him.
She squeaked and Logan caught her by her elbows, peering down at her, “You alright?”
Gwen nodded when suddenly the sound of nails on the wood flooring sped up and a familiar scent hit Logan’s senses.
