Chapter 21: Sailor's Warning
Amun, usually caring to a fault, is rough and beastly. He sniffs my skin, raking his hand through my curls. I arch my head back, my whole body pulsing, electric with want.
He rears back for a moment, unbuttoning his shirt collar with an impatient twist. His eyes glow bronze in the moonlight. Something in his face has changed, it’s angular somehow. Catlike.
When he settles himself back on top of me, he rubs his face against my collarbone. I can feel the hard surface of the fangs bulging against his lips. I guide his face to mine once more and kiss him, exploring the newly emerged vampiric teeth with my mouth. He slows down for a moment, his human impulse takes the wheel as he makes eye contact.
“You want this? You’re ready?” he asks.
