CHAPTER 69 A Traitor

Magnus threw Terri away from him, and she caught herself before she toppled over a chair. Terri frowned as she sat on the chair and crossed her arms over her chest while Magnus fumed.

"Wait. Why did you speak to her?" Magnus asked.

"She asked me to come to see her," Terri responded. "Are you upset because she didn't ask for you?"

Magnus sneered as he noticed Terri was pouting. He scoffed and asked, "Are you jealous?"

"No, I think you're an idiot," Terri answered. "You did all of this for what? Just for you to run back to her? You turned me into a vampire against my will because you didn't want to be alone."

  "I never said that I..."

"It is pretty damn clear why you did, Magnus. You can lie to yourself, but you can't lie to me. Anyone with half a brain knows what you were doing," Terri said, interrupting Magnus. "And you're not even asking the right questions! Isn't it your job to find the serial killer? Wouldn't you want to know what she said about him?"
