FLASHBACK
When Gayle woke up from her nap, she had the impression that something was wrong. There was a sense of tension in the air. She just couldn't seem to shake the uneasy feeling that something was off.
Gayle could still hear the music for the Blood Moon festival coming from the outside. She thought to herself as she sat up, "Perhaps I just had a bad dream." She checked the time on the clock in front of her. It was 11 p.m. As Gayle climbed out of bed, her first thought was, "Mama Aurora and Melody ought to be eating right about now."
Gayle left her room after sprucing up. As she made her way downstairs, she became aware that there was a potent odor of iron in the air. That did not come as a surprise to her because, during the time of the Blood Moon, the vampires had a tendency to behave in an unruly manner.
